I pulled the seats out. It can be done without removing them, but I installed Kilmat before the flooring.

With that said, I did it in winter and there is no way I could have worked the flooring around the seats--it was way too stiff.
I'm currently installing Killmat. Do you think the Killmat plus Armorlite made a big sound difference?

Yes, it made the Jeep feel more "solid" and less tinny when on the road. The wind noise is still there from the windows and roof, but there was a reduction in overall noise.

I'm currently installing Killmat right now. Is there any place I should avoid putting it in preparation for the Armorlite? Did you Killmat the doors?

I did from the upper front well in the front all the way to the back. I did not do the doors.

Note that at the door edge pillars if you put it too thick, you will have issues reinstalling the door trim pieces because it will push them up too high.

I'm not even doing full coverage since I've heard 60% coverage is plenty.

Jeep - "nuff said
I am not sure if the extra sound deadening is even noticeable. Has anyone gone from carpet to Armorlite and found it too loud, then removed it to add extra deadening and reinstalled for comparison?
My diesel is great with just the Armorlite. Quiet and comfy. I did it for the ease of cleaning and found the quieter ride an unexpected bonus.
It was tough enough to put in neatly without the added bulk of the padding and we’re thoroughly pleased with just it.
I highly recommend fully removing all seat and doors for the installation. I didn’t right away and fought with it the whole way - probably doubled the instal time and anguish I went through. Once I removed the obstacles things went smooth as butter.

I would love a set for a 4XE and a full set for the rear cargo area. Are they available?
I have the 4xe version. They are great, but be sure you give yourself time for the install. Like, a lot of time. I ended up running out of daylight and trying to do it with the very limited lighting in my garage. That sucked...a LOT.

Just ordered my Armorlite. I originally bought Killmat thinking I was going to keep my money and carpet. I really hate the carpet now that I live in Southern Utah. I did the rear cargo area with Killmat and some of the rear seat floor, but I'm stopping until my Armorlite shows up just in case it makes it harder. I will probably save what I have left for the doors.

Thanks for the heads up

Still nothing for the cargo area though. At least not yet.
No Armorlite for the cargo area yet? I've been waiting for Armorlite to release a 2door version, but that would mainly be for the 2door rear footwell and 2door cargo area. That seems unlikely if they haven't released a 4door cargo area solution yet.

so have most people found the Armorlite reduces interior noise?

I see several mentions of noise/vibration reduction and it doesn't sound like that's only when used with Kilmat.
