Are these lifts the same thing?

My first post! I know Jeeps (I've got a TJ and a CJ2A), but I don't know the JKs or the JLs much at all. I've got a 2023 Willys JLU 2.0 with the Extreme Recon package ordered (in Sting Gray if you're wondering). It comes with a factory 1.5" lift. That's what they keep calling it - a factory 1.5" lift.

I hear folks talking about the Mopar 2" lift. Is the lift coming on my JLU the same as the Mopar 2" lift? Are folks just rounding up numbers here?

It could be that 2" is based off a Sport and I think the Willys starts 0.5" higher (I could be wrong). I know you can often knock 1" off a lift for Rubicons because they start 1" higher than Sports. But not all lift manufacturers base their lift height off Sport height, so it does get confusing.

Since weight plays a big factor and you'll always get some degree of settling, you'll only get a ballpark amount for lift height, its never exact.

So it's plausible that it's the same lift. Mopar only makes a 2" lift kit. So it's either the same lift or it's not factory at all and the dealer is lying to you.

It's not the same as the Mopar lift. There are quite a few threads on it. Welcome to the forum. I suggest for searching topics you use google and add "JLWranglerforum" after every search term. For example "Willys XR lift JLWranglerforum," will net you some results.

No it's not the same lift however the 2" Mopar lift is based on a sport or that base. As mentioned yours will be .5" taller/ more clearance. Also the Mopar lift has Fox shocks I think yours will have the OE red body once unless you know what they are.

The XR is shorter than the same Jeep on the Mopar lift. I don’t believe any of the parts are the same.
