Thanks! I did some testing. 2 power relays connected and 1 ground? Compressor runs even with the ignition off. 1 power relay and one ground connected? Works as intended. I connected the purple wire to Aux2, it fires up 1 motor when I engage Aux2. When I flip the switch on my ARB knock off, it fires up both motors. I may mess with this a bit later this week. Little strange, but it works so I may just leave it alone. Aired up my 37" tires from 12psi to 37psi in like 15mins.Apologies for the delayed response. The forum occasionally doesn't notify me about responses to my posts. I just happened along and saw your question.
The main compressor power cables have to be connected directly to the main battery. The on/off switch is simply a "kicker" that trips a pair of relays integrated into the compressor to flow electrical power through the main power harness. I ran that kicker wire to the on with ignition wire in the factory aux wire bundle behind the glove box. I only want the compressor running with the engine, so as to not drag the batteries down too far. Also, using the arb switch kept the factory aux available for something else.
I'll probably have a write up in my build thread.
