Anyone using Rough Country Diff Skid Plate?

These fitted great on my 3.6 etorque XR.

Front and back. No interference with anything.

They have been bashed quite a bit and I've jacked off on them quite a few times no problem.. Yet. (pun intended )

You have LCA skids on there? What kind on front? I have Artec for the back… still need to mount them.

Rear LCA skids from RC as well. The bolt on ones. Engine and Trans skid from MORE. Those kind of cover most of the underside along with the factory stuff. Sure its not all flat and smooth, but it covers everything pretty well.

Have had my F&R RC skids for a while now, been great thus far. Ended up getting an M220 rear end so had to modify my M200 skid, took a while but made it work. Post up pics when I get that skid back on there. They really are built to take abuse, and for the $100 price for each skid it's hard to beat!

I also had to pull the front skid as it made contact with my oil pan/transmission skid plate support.

Which oil pan/transmission skid were you running that made contact with the front differential skid?

Still going strong? I was going to buy the Rusty’s or next venture one but for the price the RC diff skid is very tempting… I don’t have a single piece of RC on my jeep so I’m very hesitant lol

The RC skid plates for JL are very solid. I have had mine for years and they have been great. The diff skid is less than 1/3 of the price compared to Next Venture.

I'm not a fan of differential skids as they reduce ground clearance, in the past I welded on 1/4" thick steel to my diff covers and never had any problems or loss of ground clearance.

This time I'm going for Currie thick nodular iron diff covers with recessed bolt holes, they will be my diff skids along with the iron center section that they bolt to.

I did buy the Rough Country steel winch plate and installed with my steel Rubicon front bumper. Website said made in China but they arrived and are made in USA now, I like it's mounting method/points better than most others and does not incorporate the two fangs that hang down from frame rails for the lower bumper skid plate to bolt to. I'm going to cut those two fangs off just below the swaybar bushing mounts.

I’ve smoked my diff cover a couple times on the bolt heads stopping my dead in my tracks. A skid will allow me to at least come to a slower stop instead of an abrupt slam.

Yeah it was pretty solid. But I changed to a fusion axle, because the OEM axle sucked hard. But I would buy the RC skid again for sure. Its beefy.

@XtremeRetard YOu had the M220 and M210 axles, correct? What sucked about them? What fusion axle did you go with? I bought Rusty's rear lower link/shock skids I'll look at his diff skid...always just bent some 2" wide 1/4" thick steel strap into half circle around proper size pole, then cut and welded right to the cover and filled in with some triangle etc peices to build my own guard with slight ramping on it.

Basically just the locker. Sensor died, then locker failed to engage properly.
I was going larger tires, so before I totally trashed the OEM diff I sold it off and got a 14/60 Fusion 70" combo.
I run sticky baja boss x tires 40x13.5r17 and run 9 rated trails constantly.
