While I still have some life left on my 35" KO2s, the utterly terrible wet traction is starting to annoy me. Since I don't think I'll make it to the release of the KO3, I'm looking for replacements and considering switching to M/Ts. I really like the look of the Grabber X3 and the online reviews seem mostly positive. I'm mainly concerned with how loud they are (and M/Ts in general) compared to A/Ts. Anyone on here running them and can provide me some real world info on how they are?

I’ve had them for two years now and will stick with them for the long haul and when they are worn out I will replace with general again. I drove them from Ohio to California did the Rubicon trail aired up and drove home. They are noisy but I don’t think there is any way around it. Large spaces and large rotational mass. I do switch to at in the winter to save on fuel wear and tear and for snow.
i expected to see more wear on them after the trip but I’m impressed. I five wheel rotate well the kids do it for me ?.
I bought my generals at Walmart and they have support as needed cross country.
Feel free to pm if you want more details.

I run them. Previously had nitto trail grapplers. Like the performance of the generals better. They are louder but doesn't bother me. They are lesser weight then the others, running a 2 dr They have been great.

Good looking Jeep. Are those 35s?

My concern with noise is I just want to be able to still have a conversation with a passenger at highway speeds.

I'm running them in 37x12.50R17. They're louder than an AT for sure, but I wouldn't call them bad for an MT - have run the OEM Falken Wildpeak MTs on the JL when new, and MTR/Ks and KM2s on a different Jeep as a point of comparison. I can still have a conversation in the Jeep without issue, might be talking a little louder than I would in a quiet room, but not shouting by any means. The compound is pretty soft and they hook up well off road. I have no complaints about them.

Yes they are 35's. I have a softop as well and it's a little louder but can for sure still have conversation.

With the Hard top, you can bearly hear them, not loud. I Switched to jeep performance beadlocks so it could fit on crawler hauler, narrower offset, Then put backside out as I destroyed the cool red letters on the trail.

I've used the Grabber tires a couple of times and they are not only quiet, but they wear well and have excellent traction.

Old thread but I'll put in my 0.02. I have the 35x12.5R17 E rated on my Gladiator. 70k and still going strong. Worked very well on my trip to CO and Moab, UT. I drive my truck for work on long trips and they have been great on the highway, dry or wet. I'll replace the STT Pro's on my wife's Wrangler with these next. She doesn't need that much MUD tire and the X3 is so much quieter.
