Have any of you installed a PSC big bore kit on your JL yet? If so, thoughts of the kit and did it actually help?

I contacted PSC and asked if they'd send me the installation instructions before I buy.....crickets.

I mean I know the general idea of what I'd be up against but it'd be cool to see the details, and I don't know how it'd be like a trade secret or anything.

I'm just a serious, prospective customer asking for some more info.

Anyway, from what I've gathered the few here who have the kit paid to have it installed so they don't really know what's going on.

I'm beginning to believe less than 10% of the membership here owns any tools beyond a claw hammer and a lawn mower. ;)

Lots of tool-less armchair engineers make up a significant percentage, but we also have some hard core DIY'er who have a huge amount of knowledge and skill. The second group is really helpful :movember:

Don't forget the flat-blade screw driver.

I plan to do the kit, the question is do I be responsible and pay for the $3k dental work I need, or new steering on the JL.

Most of you know I'm not kidding when I say it's a difficult choice....

Also I wonder if I could get away with the stock tie rod with hydro assist? I honestly don't see why not....

The video was incredibly helpful - specifically I was trying to get a handle on WHERE they mount the pump.

Unfortunately it looks to take the idler I wanted to use for a York, which is a bummer but I'd rather have steering that works well off-road and isn't deadly on the highway

The video was helpful. I couldn’t help but think I wish my steering were as good as his “before”!

Spoke with the PSC rep at jeeptober fest and they are hoping to have the 2.0 kit soon. Something about have issues with the ECU.
