Anyone else not getting the Infotainment System?

I’m still hoping they offer the 8.4 without the infotainment or Alpine prior to mine leaving D status.

Isn’t the 8’4 the infotainment itself ?!?

From the Jeep website, the package includes a bit more than just the upgraded screen and is shown separately under options but you can’t currently order only the screen. Package has:

No I know it comes with more than just the bigger screen, but that’s what is the « infotainment », not the rear view mirror...

To me it’s the goofy alpine radio mostly, that takes up your precious space in a two door. I’m getting a Rubicon so the standard screen basically does everything else but be bigger and nav.

CRC can you correct me if I'm wrong. If you don't have the infotainment package you still get a dim mirror you just have to turn it on manually from the touchscreen. If you have the infotainment package then the dim mirror would just be automatic.

After reading this thread I think I'm going to splurge and get the full infotainment center. I plan to keep my Jeep for many years and love loud music . So the investment makes sense . I'm a tech freak so the 8" screen is literally calling my name.

I think I'm going to get the manual so that will more than cover the difference .

It's really annoying that the 7" display doesn't come with HD radio

Passing on it and the Alpine. My Rubi has 2 options and this is not one of them.

Not only am I not getting the 8.4", but it is highly unlikely I'm even getting the 7"

I'm putting a Garmin GPS on the dash, and the 5" has an aux jack. I have manual climate control in the form of the softtop. Should suit my needs just fine. That's a thousand bucks I'd rather put into a sweet exhaust for that V6.
