First post!

A little about me, I've owned a XJ, a TJ Rubicon and a Tacoma since I've sold the TJ. Whenever I see a TJ I miss mine.

I'm thinking about getting another Rubicon but my girlfriend sits rather upright and the headrest of a Wrangler causes her to sit in an awkward position. Taking the headrest out or reversing it is not an option. I'm not thrill about bending the headrest.

The reason I'm posting here is because I'm curious if anyone has looked at swapping the JL headrest with a WL headrest. In my search for a vehicle that I can flat tow and has a headrest that does not cause posture issues I checked out the WL and I noticed that the headrest is adjustable for angle.

Same problem. Pulled the headrests today and bent the rods about 15 degrees, moving the top of the headrest aft about 1-1/2".

The rods need to be bent within the headrest rather than the external portion of the rod or they won't work well in the height adjuster….
So glad to know this can be done. I’m 5’10” (i.e., average-sized) and when I position my seat in a comfortably upright the headrest forces my chin into my chest. I have no doubt in an accident it would snap my neck from behind.
