I’m considering switching away from my Factor 55 shackle to Yankums fairlead. I understand the plus and minus’s, I don’t want to hear about UV damage (unless you have actual experience and proof).

I’m asking now since they

Does anybody have any experience with them?

Thank you

I like the concept, like the look.....but they're awfully proud of it. Did you find a deal somewhere? Or just have lots of ?

In one of the FB groups there are pics of several faded but that was last year some time. I wonder if they figured it out ?

Is it difficult to get the line out if you don’t have one of those pull straps?

The pull strap came with the fairlead. It’s a must for this system to work easily.
Ok cool, this is the kinda stuff I can’t find anywhere. Have you noticed that you get a lot debris coming through the fairlead? My Factor 55 shackle blocks most of the slot right now and that’s one of my other concerns.

No issues with debris. I conceal the strap by stuffing it in the fairlead so, I guess that could help with debris ?‍♂

I have been running one for about a year and a half. In fact I pulled it off my old rig and transferred to my new Jeep. I really like the line with no hard hook at the end and the fair lead just makes it easier to store. Before I switched to this fair lead I used a regular synthetic style fair lead and added a soft shackle to the end and just sucked it in. That left the big knot sticking out. The yankum fair lead is a little cleaner. I find it easier to power out a couple feet and then you can freespool the rest out.
