Hmmm. ya, that version of Waze you and I installed today is doing the same for me. no coolwalk split screen
Yup...

I uninstalled the 2/9 beta, reverted back to the last Waze beta (2/8) and Coolwalk did not come back. Then I uninstalled that 2/8 beta and reinstalled the 2/9 and still no Coolwalk.

I tested today on my 40 mi. ride with the 2/9 Waze beta.

Did you notice the selection hamburger in the top left corner of Waze...

About no Coolwalk in Waze. I don't miss it.... As long as I can quickly switch over to Maps and have it there I'm aok with that.

I didn't notice, but didn't play with it long. I haven't actually gone anywhere today

Holding down the power/volume knob and the tuner knob together for 10 seconds does a soft reset type of thing to the radio, and that worked for me sometimes in the past. But I did find that most often, a new cable was the best fix. I actually started keeping a spare in the console.
The new cable made no difference. I still get nothing, then eventually the 'Device Not Supported' error message pops up. I'll try resetting it next.

I finally got Coolwalk yesterday. Wasn't there when I drove into work. Was on my way home. No Android Auto updates in between the two.

@Ratbert

Your MA1 may have chitt the bed. Reach out to Motorola Sound and they will probbly replace the unit you have. https://motorolasound.com/support
The MA1 is relatively fine. It dies periodically, but it fundamentally works.

The issue is that I can't connect through USB. Plugging in previously launched AA immediately. Now it does nothing, then about a minute later I get the 'Device Not Supported' error displayed.

A new USB-C cable didn't help. Using a new USB-A to USB-C cable didn't help. Hard reset didn't help.

I'll be driving from Colorado to Oregon solo in a couple weeks for an AEV thing where we play in the massive sand dunes. Hopefully I'll have this resolved by then.

Try pulling fuse 97 for a bit. Always fixes my radio when it acts stupid.

Yep, that was one of the last things that I tried. What was weird about that is the colors all reset to blue (acknowledging that it actually reset), but it still knew about my phone.

Note that I haven't received the recent UConnect update as far as I know.

? for you. IF you use your USB cable and plug that cable into the same USB port that you have been using for the MA1, and use your smartphone.... does wired Android Auto work aok?

I like the way your brain works. Unfortunately that behaved the same way.

It wouldn't be such a big deal if the MA1 worked consistently. Sometimes when it craps out it doesn't come back.

Yeah I don't need to watch YouTube in the right 40% while I'm driving. :giggle: Fortunately it's a touch screen so a tap on navigation brings it back to full screen.

Disabled YT in settings but we'll see what it does next time. I really don't need more steps in my vehicle start procedure. (Neutral, run, voltage check, clutch+ignition, ESS, driver console set, pheun unlock, plug in phone, handbrake+departure depending, display to fullscreen navigation, destination select).

You really go through all of those steps??

I just verified that mine comes back with the same settings each iteration. No need to switch to fullscreen each time.

I updated to the latest Android Pixel 7 Pro security update last night. Plugged in the phone via USB-C today and it immediately worked!

The MA1, however, never connected. Oh well.
