Anyone else notice this on Alpine’s website?

The signup link is currently broken, but the URL includes "x409_wra_jl". Is Alpine finally releasing a JL-specific headunit? Has anyone seen this at any of the shows?

Given that it does not even have wireless carplay, that price is crazy talk.

$3000 MSRP; they're releasing the offroad version first. _Totally_ worth it.

I was looking at the page for this on Crutchfield, and strangely, Crutchfield is telling me that this won't fit my 2018 JLU with 5" radio. Apparently if you have 7" or 8.4" it fits but is "not recommended". I'd like to think that both of these are wrong and that this will work on any JL.

Actually this is a different product. The previously-announced product was the i209-WRA-JL, without nav. This one is more like the prior x209-WRA-OR, which has nav (the JK product also had a DVD/CD player, which the JL version does not have, for space purposes). It's not clear whether there are any other features in the newly-announced $3000 product that weren't in the previously-announced $2400 one, though. Not sure if nav alone is worth $600, though, since you can use nav through CarPlay/Android Auto, but the off-road features might be compelling. Hard to know without being able to see it in action. Also, it's unclear when the non-nav $2400 version will be released, if at all.
