Having issues with the Alpine X409WRA, the power comes on and off while driving, the radio station comes directly back on, and the clock does not lose time, but it’s almost like it’s cycling on and off on and off and it is very annoying. Does anyone have any similar issues? And did you get it fixed?

I’ve had this issue with the X409 in my JK. I just happened to purchase a JL that had the same X409 head unit. Shortly after having my JL I started having the same issue with the head unit constantly power cycling. Sometimes it would power cycle after hitting any bumps in the road so that suggested to me that there was possibly a connection issue. Today I reset all of the connections to the maestro and the head unit itself only to discover it would no longer turn on at all. Long story short, I discovered one of the pins (Brown wire) in the head unit connector was basically completely removed from the connector. I reinstalled the pin into the connector and the unit turned on without delay. Considering the way the power cycling issues would occur, I’m pretty confident this may be the fix for me at least. I’ll attach a photo of the connector that had the removed pin. I know this is a popular issue with not a lot of answers so I hope this helps.
