Just watched the install of the new Alpine unit. I agree the price is crazy, but so is the install.

I noticed that the factory USB connection does not go into this unit. Has anyone confirmed that the USB2 connection, the one hidden in the center console, still works with Carplay?

The second USB is part of the factory wiring which they didn’t use as it was replaced with alpines connectors

I still like the look, and (supposed) functionality of this unit. The price will come down eventually. No tellin how much though.
