Just curious who here has bought aftermarket led headlights from the oem leds to aftermarket leds?

I’m thinking about ordering these diode dynamics led headlights. Any good or bad experiences?

I ordered the Diode Dynamics last week. Not sure about the factory LEDs but anything has to be better than the worthless factory halogens

I ordered the Diode Dynamics Elite Max's for my 23 JLURXR. I specifically ordered the jeep minus the LED package. I've had and currently have another Jeep with the OEM LEDs. The OEM headlights are great. If I had OEM LED's on the 23 I wouldn't spend the money to switch. The reason I did not order LED's when I placed the order for the 23 was because I knew I was going to do a fender chop and the OEM LED fogs are pathetic. I knew I'd be switching the fogs out to Baja Design.

Our Elite Series Headlights for the JL Wrangler are an excellent option! The number of satisfied customers is quickly growing as we are able to get more of them out the door.

They're a plug-and-play upgrade, feature a unique startup sequence and much more, and are backed by 8-YEAR WARRANTY. They will easily outperform both the OEM halogen and LED options.

Being the only 9-inch headlights that are 100% engineered and assembled in the USA, they redefine what's possible for aftermarket headlights.

We appreciate you considering switching to a premium product. We did just release the new version of our Squadron SAE which is immensely better than the previous model and is a great fit for all fog light applications. If you find yourself doing more off-road-style driving an upgrade to the Squadron Sports may be in your interest. All of our products are backed with our LIFETIME WARRANTY as well.

If you have any questions about our products feel free to reach out @Crowbar.

I have the Oracle headlights in <-- that Jeep and they are great! They were mostly plug and play. I had to run one wire for the halos. They are brighter than the OEM LED headlights that I have in the other Jeep. I ordered that one without the LED group because I already had a set of OEM LED headlights, turn signals, and fog lights. I have swapped them all over and they work great (with a Tazer).

Same sentiment here for the Oracle Bi-LED Headlights! Love 'em. Their halos are unbelievably sexy as well -- much better and brighter than the OEM rings!

My only regret is not getting the heated version of the Oracles. During our most recent snowstorm I had a 300 mile, 9 hour drive through a perpetual blizzard. Had to stop a few times to scoop off the frozen snow/ice caked over my headlights!

Planning on Sports. On the bumper these are going in to the fogs are angled outwards maybe 15 degrees for better peripheral vision offroad.
I've just been disappointed that Baja Designs hasn't offered an LED headlight. My wish LED headlight from Baja would have the normal Hi and Low lights and then an insanely bright yellow offroad mode powered from the aux switches.

There’s nothing aftermarket that is better than the Mopar LED lights period. When 2023 Cadillacs and 2023 BMWs flash you thinking your Mopar leds are in high beam mode when not, you know you have some spectacular lights…

I disagree. Side by side on my garage wall, the Oracle lights are MUCH brighter than the OEM LEDs.

We definitely have something in the works for a direct headlight replacement. Hopefully, this will be another great option for the Jeep community when it is available.

I think that just means yours are aimed too high.

No, this just means that your headlights are set too high. Adjust them instead of blinding oncoming traffic. SMDH

Hey Tony- imo the leds (including OEM option) are overpriced for the tech. My ‘18 sport had halogens and I played around with 4 or 5 brands of headlights. You can get quality lights around ~300 range. Morsun and Loyo are manufacturers that have lights you’ll find for sale on Amazon/ AliExpress(baba) or rebranded stateside. If you buy from the maker you’re sacrificing support outside of WeChat/ WhatsApp convos.

On my ‘21 I have OEM leds and I’d say my old pair of Morsun (Rough Country) headlights had a sharper cut-off since the color temp was more blue. Not sure if that’s a point off OEM but I did like seeing where my visibility ended. I didn’t have any issues w/ hyper-flashing, lights turning off, etc on my ‘18 sport.

I’ve considered Oracle’s heated headlight and DD’s new headlights as both add more functionality than OEM, but both seem to be working through some issues. For what it’s worth, I think DD is the only one to claim they outperform OEM.
edit* yup DD states they outperform in the previous post ??
Hope this helps a bit.

It sounds like you're looking for something like our Elite Series Max Headlights!

They feature a modern bi-LED projector for maximum output, and they do outperform the OEM LEDs.

Additionally, we have incorporated an offroad lighting feature. Using the same emitters found in our popular Stage Series lineup, this provides an extra light that is both extremely wide and bright to illuminate the trail ahead. We include an additional switch to activate this feature, or it can be connected to a factory auxiliary switch.

Feel free to ask any questions, and check out our YouTube channel to see more!
