My Jeep is a 2021 JLUR with the 3.6 eTourque, factory steel bumpers, hard top, and tow package. While I always felt my Jeep sat a little low in the front, now that it's at 50k kms, I definitely notice it more. I hit the bump stops more often in parking lots and on rough roads, but I am also starting to think about this because I will be installing a winch in the bumper. No other weight adding mods have been done to the Jeep and the dealer says nothing is wrong (x5, it's getting annoying).
I don't necessarily want a full-blown lift as I still need to fit in some garages and the Jeep can't get too tall for my wife. I considered the Terraflex spacer 1.5" lift or levelling kit, but that doesn't really solve the sagging springs. I am thinking of swapping in springs and shocks from a Xtreme Recon or 392. I have searched the threads and can only find bits and pieces about how much lift each option should achieve.
The three options for springs and shocks:
3.6 Xtreme Recon
392
392 Xtreme Recon
I found this on another thread:
"JLUXR Springs will give 1.5" over JLUR. 392 and 392 XR springs will give JLUR about 2-2.5" lift."
Does anyone know how each of these three would compare or if this information is accurate? Would the 392 and 392 XR have a nose-high rake due to the lighter engine? I know I may also have to swap out lower control arms.
I do not do any hardcore wheeling, maybe up to what some may call moderate trails. My most demanding use is on camping/hunting trips when the Jeep has some gear, but the trails are mostly poor condition logging/mining roads. I don't find myself needing more articulation necessarily, but more ground clearance would be nice. I will also be fitting 35's soon.
Current space between bump stops is around 1.5"-2"
