Am I the only one that recalls the adventure guides supposedly being for all trims and versions of the jeep Wrangler 2024 model year and later; as well as not being an upgrade option but standard?

or maybe I just don’t recall reading accurately!

I am in the same boat as you. All of the videos I have watched and marketing material indicated that it would be made available on ALL wrangler models. However, I have been talking with Jeep Cares and they said I cant get adventure guides because my Willy's doesn't have navigation. Navigation isnt available on the Willy's even with the technology package. Even Alex Tonkavich from Jeep stated in this video at 24:15 that it is on every Jeep model .

Very disappointed in how this was marketed.

Glad I’m not the only one, either terrible marketing or Jeep is back tracking either way I think that it crap. Not that I bough the 24 JL for adventure guides but definitely was a something of interest.

What 24 JL did you buy? You may be entitled to it, but just may not have received it yet, see: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...ers-using-adventure-guide.116759/post-2541342
Rubicon 4xe, I got a reply from Jeep cares as well that stated I will not be able to access it.

“After review we learned your vehicle is not equipped with the navigation-based system and therefore cannot support the Adventure Guide app. While you will not be able to install the Adventure Guide app directly into your Uconnect head-unit, you can still download the mobile app version and relay it to your radio through Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns, we can help with. Thank you.”

I do remember that and it was to be included in an update that was supposed to be released in "the Summer of 2023". I check for it quite often and now I see it is available for a price. Yes, it was supposed to be free and I still don't have it. 2024 Jeep Rubicon X 4Xe

It is free and it is available now (if you have the nav option). Ping JeepCares, they've helped us get it deployed (though it's not yet clear why they've had to intervene).

I do have the Navigation option and I will jump on this pretty quick! Thank you!

I am currently using Trails Offroad through Apple CarPlay and it works great. JeepCares has been very responsive here, and I have little doubt that the Adventure Guides will appear on my Rubicon X as soon as I'm out and about long enough for it to download. I will be surprised, however, if their version provides much if anything beyond the functionality that I already enjoy.

I am a little surprised that Jeep would even bother trying to integrate this sort of thing into Uconnect rather than just maintain the status quo. I've had built-in navigation in all of my cars for well over a decade, yet I almost never use it, relying instead on Google Maps and occasionally Apple Maps. (The only reason I get nav at all is because it's always been bundled with a technology package that had other features I wanted.) This seems a bit like reinventing the wheel and/or solving a problem that doesn't really exist. Why not just ensure that apps like Trails Offroad, OnX etc. can easily be displayed from CarPlay/Android Auto to the Uconnect screen and leave the further development of the apps to those app developers? Seems like "It ain't broke." and in trying to "fix it" Jeep has only created a costly and unnecessary headache for themselves and irritated at least a portion of their customers in the process.

If Jeep promised in writing that it would be available in all vehicles regardless of whether or not they had nav, that would be a pretty big mistake. While it sounds as though they did not make the nav requirement very obvious, it's hard to believe that their lawyers let an omission like that slip by. More likely that it was hidden somewhere in the fine print.

Ultimately, I doubt that the folks without nav are going to be missing out on anything by not having this feature built into their systems. Given the current performance of the Trails Offroad app through the vehicle display, and assuming that Jeep is going to continue to facilitate that going forward, not having Jeep's Adventure guides built-in probably isn't going to be a significant loss.

On the other hand, it's possible that they're going to knock it out of the park and incorporate all this amazing new functionality and/or acquire Trails Offroad in full, make it unavailable on phones and proprietary to Jeep but I doubt it. To make that work they'd have to continue to buy up every new off-road nav app that pops up going forward...

Adventure pages are only available on Rubicon models, although Jepp has not released that option yet. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!!

It was promised to be released in "summer 2023". Though I use it in CarPlay as an app, I am sorely irritated that it is not out yet under the Off Road Pages.

Nope, the original marketing material indicated that all trims would get it. They have since reneged on that and feign ignorance now.

Bet they could not or would not ignore a class action lawsuit. Companies have been sued for millions of dollars for less than this!
