I have a 2025 JLURX with the advanced safety system. Had the jeep for 3 months and had the windshield replaced a few months ago. The Adaptive Cruise Control has been working fine since, and safelite recalibrated the system after the installation.
Had a strange thing happen yesterday where I was parked in direct sunlight. The windshield was a bit splattered with bugs. Upon starting, I had the wipers go off once (mist mode), but I didn't hit anything. After that, the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) light didn't go off (was ESC, not ESC OFF), the Service Forward Collision Warning light stayed lit, the Service Adaptive Cruise Control Warning Light stayed on, and the Cruise Control Fault Warning Light was all lit up. There were no weird noises from ESC being activated, just the light was on.
Drove it for about an hour and those lights still lit. Turned the Jeep off for about a half hour and restarted. No lights were on and ACC worked fine.
My old jeep's ACC did something like this when I was driving in direct sun, so I figured it was something like that. But the ESC light was weird, as I can't see how it would be related to the collision system. To rule things out, I pushed all the fuses down when I got the jeep. I also just finished a semi mild offroad trip for the previous couple of days that just saw lots of dust, some mud, and some rocky hill climbs, but nothing like rock walls....just embedded larger rocks that you could pick up and move with your hands.
Is there something I should watch out for? Check or keep an eye on? Just chalk it up to a fluke?
