Adjust door swing

For my JKU, I added a bracket that allowed the backseat doors to swing open wider. I'm wondering if this is even possible on the JLU due to the internal hinge/arm detention. Has anyone found a workaround?

That door check adds another step when you take the doors off, so some people choose to eliminate the door check by unbolting it and pushing it into the door so it is no longer used.

So if you don't mind losing the functionality of the door check, you could always disconnect it in favor of modifying the door to open wider.
