Goooood morning everybody!
I recently put on some door hinge steps on our JLU. Just to be perfectly honest, I messed up and it wasn't parked on a flat surface and I got the hinge just slightly off, on the door side. So, obviously I have alignment issues. They are only affecting the latch portion, as no part of the door is hitting the body. But it's really off on the striker plate. I hate trying to do this with the door on the jeep, as it's such a bitch aligning the hinge, step, and getting the bolts tight. Is that the only way?
I've taken the whole door off and adjusted it a few times, and it got better. However, it seems to have slipped a bit since. So maybe I do that again and just get the hinge bolts tighter? Should I be messing with the alignment pins on the jeep side?
I'm hoping there is some simple fix for this, that I just don't know about. Did some searching in the forums and haven't found a straight answer yet. Thanks for any advice!
(and yes, the steps on the hinges are functional for us, but I totally did it for looks too, just being honest here, hahaha)
