Swing arc of tailgate

Hi Guys,
Was wondering if anyone had information of the swing path of the tailgate. I am buying a two door and I am trying to figure out if I can open the tailgate in the garage with the garage door down.
What is the total length of a 2 door with the tailgate 100% perpendicular to the opening?
How far past perpendicular does it open?

Well, just went to the garage and measured for you. 8-)

16 foot 6 inches give or take an inch or two, is the length of the 2dr JL with the tailgate open 100% perpendicular.

Tailgate only goes an inch or so past perpendicular.
