Who says that? I had a Pioneer w4660nex running in my 22 with a Metra AXPIO-JL1 before I decided to go with the MB Quart stage 6. It comes with a T harness as well and there’s been no notice that it won’t work with a 22.
How do you like the MBQ system. Kicking it around but can't find many reviews on anything but the install, not the end sound level and quality.

Same as above. It really overpowers the sub. Quart is about to release a drop in sub for us 4 door owners. I am adding a Kicker 48CWRT104 with a 400.1 amp on the extra spot on the rack. I tried a JL 10TW3 but it turned out that we all have been quoting fake news on the volume of the enclosure. It's only 0.35 cu ft and there aren't many subs that will work in that volume that are shallow mount.

So the 48CWRT104 has a bolt circle that is about 1/2 inch too small and it’s going back. Going to power the factory alone with the 400.1 til the Quart drop in sun becomes available.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Hightide Edition
Well I recently purchased my first Jeep (2022 Wrangler Unlimited High Tide edition). As everyone following this thread is aware the factory sound was sorely lacking, so after reading this thread in its' entirety more than once I decided to take on a full upgrade. My jeep did not have the premium (Alpine) sound, rather it came with the 7" display and toys-R-us speakers. Here's the list of equipment I purchased:

PAC audio AP4CH41R2
JL Audio 1000VX/5i
2 x Hertz Mille MPK 165.3 Pro 6.5" component 2-ways
JL Audio Stealthbox passenger side
JL Audio fuse mount plate
JL Audio under seat amplifier mount
Metra JP-1014 pods
JLJT Pods
JL Audio 4awg amplifier kit
90' 14ga speaker wire
EFX Delta 6-channel RCA cables
soud deadener
poly fill

I have to admit this was quite an undertaking. It probably took me between 30-35 hours to get everything done, but I'm old, slow and very meticulous. The biggest issues were never seeming to have enough light and of course painstakingly removing all those annoying plastics/clips. It was also extremely hot in my garage which didn't help. There were a number of times when I questioned how bad exactly the factory system had been. I pushed through and got it done and I must say the end result is nothing short of amazing.

I've still got some minor tweaks to do with the TuN software, however the results have far exceeded my expectations. Many thanks to those of you who have contributed to this thread and a special thanks to the threads author @Sting_NC_USA.

I just dropped in 2 JL 10Tw3’s in a sealed net 1.1 and they sound amazing running off 600w rms Hertz hdp1. I sprayed the mdf box with rhino liner

This looks awesome. I'm pretty sure it bumps too. That said. Does it rattle?

The tailgate doesn’t rattle at all because the box is flush to the floor. The top does rattle at higher volume.

Sting NC USA, the information provided worked great regarding the shortcuts for installing the driver-side lower speakers. This was quicker then when I installed this setup in my 2021 JEEP Wrangler Willy's 2 Door without the Alpine System.

I used the Metra Electronics JP1014 JL Wrangler Front Speaker Pods and Kicker KSC 6704 6.75" Coaxial Speakers with some polyfill in the speaker pods in my new 2022 JEEP Wrangler Rubicon Recon Unlimited with the Alpine System.

The next upgrade will be the factory Alpine subwoofer or adding an additional 12" subwoofer and Sub Amp.

I also found a new amp wiring kit that includes a fuse mount and amp mount(s) that are specific to the JEEP Wrangler JL. Depending on which kit you purchase from Metra. JP-18AMP-1 JEEP JL 2018-UP Single Amp Installation Kit Metra Electronics | Jeep® JL 2018-Up / JT 2020-Up Single Amp Installation Kit (metraonline.com) and JP-18-AMP-2 JEEP JL 2018-UP Dual Amp Installation Kit Metra Electronics | Jeep® JL 2018-Up / JT 2020-Up Dual-Amp Installation Kit (metraonline.com).

MB Quart is coming out with a drop in replacement sub that will work with our enclosure. The enclosure volume is only 0.35 cu ft, not 0.55 as had been reported elsewhere. The JL Audio 10rw3 fits but needs too much space and the Kicker 48cwrt bolt circle is too small by 1/2 inch. I did not try the Pioneer 10” subs because the efficiency ratings were not as good. Right now running a quart 400.1 on my rewired factory alpine sub. Still getting it dialed in but it keeps getting better.

Thanks for this thread! I read though and was hoping to get clarification. I have a 22 Rubicon which came with the premium sound and the unfortunate subwoofer location. I pulled my old JL 500/1 and 10w7 from my old JK and want to use this with the factory head unit and stock speakers. Am I correct in that I only need the line out converter? My gear is all from around 2006-7 so seeing app controlled DSP on amps etc is wild.

I do have a old 4 channel Alpine amp as well but will probably not do that at least for a while. Is there one recommended part that will function as the LOC as well as be expandable in case I want to add the 4 channel amp down the road?

The AmpPro will get you three sets of line outs. Front, rear and sub. You could start with the sub and add a 4 channel amp for the other speakers at a later time. Quart ships it with their stage 6 kit and the line out is clean with no distortion and 5 volts.

I'm not seeing that as in individually sold part unfortunately. The LCi line looks like it may do what I need though. Is the AccuBass worth it for the LC7i or is that useless with my old amps?
