So after researching Amps that would utilize the Toslink and optical, I don’t see the value either. $930 plus the $60 harness when JL makes some good 4 Channel amps for $100’s less.

So bypassing this option and will run RCA’s.

JL Audio 10w7 with JL’s HO box
JL Audio 1000/1 Mono amp
JL Audio 4 channel amp
JL Audio C2-650 Components front and sound bar

ordered everything today - no problems foreseen except how to “tap into” the cigarette outlet for the remote wire. Just splice into it or is there something else to do here?

Then run a remote from one amp to the other or split that at the 12 v cig outlet?
I didn't realize JL Audio had an HO box for the 10W7!? Where'd you find that?

It’s the same box as the 12w7 but they stopped making it a while back.

I had a 2014 JKUR that was fully done and went to sell it. The person who picked it up and I kept in touch after the sale. It had a lot done to it, and the stereo included the JX 1000/1 and a Polk 4 channel. It had the 10W7 with HO box.

We talked a lot and he got restationed to Hawaii, and the Jeep went with him. After a couple years he was getting restationed back to the 48, so he sold the Jeep out there (Jeeps in Hawaii are aplenty, but a lot are not modified due to cost of shipping for suspension and bumpers, etc) so he made out well. I told him if he pulled the stereo out I would buy it back, I missed it that much. He just landed back in VA and finally his belongings arrived, so I offered him some Money and they are about to be at my house.

Here is the non-anniversary box setup, still an active link on Crutchfield:

https://www.crutchfield.com/S-9GarDeXnusB/p_136110R7/JL-Audio-HO110R-W7.html

They built an updated anniversary edition, I think in 2011-2014, cannot remember when they stopped making it. From that point on from what I hear there is nothing different than if you got a brand new JL 10W7 today. And though it is older, it was covered with a Tuffy box and the guy's wife drove this one - they have 2 kids and ended up not using it at all.

This box makes A WORLD of difference compared to building one around it's needs. I had this back in 2006/2007 in a mustang, and my buddy had the same sub with a custom built box. Night and day difference on SQ and how hard it hit. This box makes all the difference.

My continuing saga - Thanks @Sting_NC_USA for the assist. I have installed all of the knee speakers and tweeters. I then ran the lines to the soundbar (waiting for speaker shipment this weekend) and ran the line to the woofer. I also completed the woofer build and ran the power line through the firewall (what a pain!) on the passenger side. Oh and over the weekend, Michael helped me out with the PAC - it would seem that the lock/unlock for the harness behind the OEM radio must be 90degrees otherwise it is not considered open! Pics are from the back of the Jeep (Hannah), the home made subwoofer and the line through the firewall!

thanks for all the help here !
please keep me updated as well what they says from PAC.. now i miss my old Alpine kit... :(
and i don't have Active Noice Cancelling system on my JL
thanks again !
Not sure if you have tried this tip from the PAC manual:

"Hiss at high amp gain - Set feature DIP switch 2 to the on (down) position to lower the output voltage of the AP4 to 4v. If you still hear the hiss, lower your amp gains until the hiss is gone."

Nice job!! :handsinair::like:
Did you take any measurements of the final sub box dimensions? How did you tie it down?
I'm not saying I'm trying to steal your design here  but I may take some of your measurements and compare with mine.

I'm doing a basic installation next weekend, putting the Metra pods in with some 6.5" components and upgrading the sound bar. I got a brand new Alpine kit for a Mustang for $250, a deal I could not resist. It's the exact same stuff as the PSS-23WRA except the T-harness (no use for it with the PAC anyhow) and the underseat bracket (which I ordered online for $80) and the missing tweeters (no use for those either). The rest of the cabling is identical and for $330 I have a sub and an amp...for now  as this will be only a temporary installation.

Once that is installed and I have a little more experience with the Wrangler, I'll start working on a (maybe two) sub(s).

@sandor.g what kind under seat bracket did you get ? can you share the link ?

thanks!
Sure!
I ordered the original bracket that comes with the Alpine PSS-23WRA package from PAC Parts.
See 820SVX-ENW-MO-O-SWV for the left piece and 820SVX-ENW-MO-U-SWV for the right piece.
This allows you to mount one PWE-S8 and one KTP-445U under the front passenger seat.

See the link below
https://www.pacparts.com/model.cfm?mfg=Alpine&model_id=PSS23WRA&action=list_part&mode=auto&back=0

It's funny if you piece the whole kit together using the exact same parts it would cost you $775 at retail price (looked up prices from BestBuy/Crutchfield/PACParts/Amazon) versus the $1300 the PSS-23WRA sells for :)
