I'm leaving on a week long hunt to AZ in a day or two. I wanted to take my new (this past summer) Dometic 55qt fridge. But I needed power in the bed, since the dog platform occupies the rear seating area of my crew cab.

I had added power in the bed of another truck a dozen years ago. I went to West Marine supply for a couple stainless steel power sockets today. They're pricey but they should hold up, and I don't have to run a separate ground wire.

I mounted them tonight. I'll wire them tomorrow. The house trailer power is 30a at the factory installed trailer plug on the bumper and always on. That's my power supply.

I'm going to add a socket on my Jeep from the #2 battery in my dual battery system for the dometic fridge also.
