not bad but TWO many doors!!! makes me wonder why the VW pickup is NOT in the USA. lots of TANKS aka fullsize pickups out there but IMO midside is plenty for most, + depend on what we get the open-air jeeps will have a leg up on the rest if they don't cost too much!!! Ford + Dodge reportedly bring midsize back, Fords continually built but not for USA + why bother with Dodge if the jeep functions as a pickup + not just a toy!!
What I'm thinking about is this tough competition coming for JT Wrangler,
From my point of view I would like to have two options for luggage box, one relatively long and the other relatively short.
2 - attention to the back row.
The VW pickup and vans are missing stateside. Although I wonder if this market would buy them. I figure VW knows better than any of us already. The VW van is similar to the Ford Transit. I also wonder why Ford didn't make a Ranger truck off the Transit line.
Funny part is that the base F-150 is pretty much a Ranger. So I understand why Ford stopped the Ranger here. Not to mention around 2009/2010 trucks were dying here. Hell, Ford only sold 419k F-150s in 2009. Gas was high and nobody wanted trucks. Ford obviously wasn't spending money on the Ranger then and let it fizzle out by 2012.
Since then, F-150 numbers have climbed up to the previous peak in 2004. I think the 2017 year will have over 1M F-150 sold here alone.
