Added Mirror Turn Signals

How did everyone access their turn signal wire to tap? Removed entire fender, or just the fender liner? Or neither? Easiest way?

I pulled the fender. Have an automatic so I went through the hole in the firewall above the break pedal. Used the boot listed in the items below.

The mirror caps are the Euro Mopar version. These match the finish of the standard black US caps.
Order online from the dealer below. (Best price I could find) They will ship them to you. Just make sure you follow-up with them on your shipment. It takes about four days for them to get them and another 4-5 days to ship them to you.
Pop the skull caps off while the mirrors are still mounted on your doors. You do not have to remove the actual mirror from the housing (Not necessary and you could end up breaking the glass mirror. Don't listen to other's that tell you to pop off the mirror glass) With the right tools, you can install these in 60-90 minutes less the running the wires through the firewall to connect them. Let me know if you have questions on how-to.

If you remove your doors you will need at a minimum a couple of 2 wire connectors for the wiring.

I ordered the 2 mirror caps, and the website emailed me saying the left cap 68361983AA is discontinued !!!! Anyone know of a possible new part number? The right side is orderable

I would confirm with them over email. They told me no ETA at this time.

Worst case would be to order the left side euro mirror as a kit. I went through @AllMoparParts.com

They couldn't order it? Interesting. I am surprised these caps are already discontinued. Is that what they are telling you or that it is on backorder? OEM's typically have to carry parts for a predetermined number of years before discontinuing them.

Update got my parts from @AllMoparParts.com. Now just need to tackle the installation.

@Teneski did you swap the covers/ install lights with the mirror/ housing still on the Jeep?

You can remove the mirror assy first, however I did not until I removed the original caps. You have to remove them to run the wire.

What do ya’ll think about this option, just adding these? May not be as clean looking install, but there’s tons of sizes/options available and you would not have to order new caps…

Maybe if I had a budget of only $11... and someone put a gun to my head and demanded I have turn signals on my mirrors or else.
