Glad you love it. I think you know pretty quickly if it's for you or not. Glad we didn't lose you to the Ridgeline. Sorry, but, NO! I don't get those things. I want an Accord but with a bed?
Wife had a Pilot, which is more or less a Ridgeline. It's no Jeep but it was impressive in every other possible way. We sold it to her mother, and she had it to 150k. On road, it's hard to beat.

Totally understand where you're coming from Brad.

Got my first Jeep (Rubicon) on July 8th earlier this year and totally smitten by it. Have two BMWs in my garage and this Jeep is not even my daily driver but I find myself reaching for the Wrangler's keys almost always. I am a Mechanical Engineer & the mechanical/visceral feel of the Jeep is unmatched by any other vehicle.

I started driving in the early 80s on my dad's vintage CJ3-B but somehow never ended up owning a Jeep till about three weeks ago. Reading the owner's manual currently and plan to read it completely. I love working on my vehicles and looking forward to working on this one as well. Have put 800 miles on it so far and loving it.

Drive safe brother!

I have a love/hate relationship with my Jeep. I have had a number of quality issues, several of which could have left me stranded if they had occurred on the trail…a factor that makes me second guess long term ownership and Jeep quality in general. That said nothing beats the flexibility and ability of the Jeep to go where few can go. While I’ve thought about trading the Jeep for a new Land Cruiser, the Toyota falls way short in off road capabilities and I would need to settle for easier rides.

Based on all the bad press Toyota is getting right now (Replacing 100k engines on Tundra's, blown transmissions problem on Tacoma's, blowing shocks through the shock towers on Tacoma's amongst other issues they are having) All that in just a short amount of time I almost feel like my 4xE somehow doesn't seem so bad after all lol.

Vehicles have become so disposable these days in the name of meeting regulations.

I do get an itch from time to time and look at older model 4Runners but they're just not as exciting as a Wrangler is.

Older women who are looking for a husband could do a lot worse than considering men in the Jeep owner community. We're a tolerant lot. ;)
