Just wondering if anyone has actually measured the difference between the two. I know they say it has a extra 1.5 inch lift, plus a inch for tires. So does the XR sit 2.5 inches higher?

I didn't measure, but having owned both a 2019 JLUR and then a 2022 JLUR with XR package I'd bet it's more like 1.5" total. 1" from the tires and 1/2" taller suspension. The difference being the non-xr suspension is very usable stock and our XR only had 1.5" between the front axle pad and the foam bump stop. That's not even enough to drive around on our crappy roads let alone enough to wheel it so the 1st jeep kept the stock suspension for 33k miles and the 2nd one got a teraflex 1.5" spacer lift within the first 2k miles (their kit has a 2" front spacer and 1.5" rear). Around 20k miles we decided to go to bigger tires and swapped in metalcloak 3.5" springs. If you believe the Jeep "1.5" lift from the factory, the 2.0 spacer should have already lifted the front to the 3.5" height... the new springs lifted it another 1-1.5". Granted most get ~4" out of those springs. The math doesn't math.

Is that 1” for tires actual difference or just assumption of 33” vs 35”? Actual diameter will vary. For example my Nitto Recon Grappler 35x11.5 measure 34.5” on the vehicle.

They both come with ko2s which run small. The 33s are more like 31.5" on the Jeep and the 35s are closer to 33.5" installed so both? The installed height difference is 1" but you could gain another 0.5" going to a "larger 35".

You are a little off on your tire sizes, the 33's are actually 32.7 inch and the 35's are 34.4 inch for a difference of 1.7 inch or 0.85 inch of vehicle lift. 😎

Charts are great, try measuring them on the Jeep, at the psi you normally run though. Granted I only run 30 psi on the street so at the 40+ the dealers run they might measure closer to the specs.

My XR's front fender is 40 3/4 high and the rear fender is 41 1/8 high. This is after adding steel bumpers, I think I lost 1/4 in the front and 1/8 in the rear. Not sure what Rubicon measures.

Just measured the fenders on my '24 JLRX, two door on 33" tires (10k miles on them at 32 psi), with factory steel bumpers and warn winch: 39 1/2 inches to the bottom of the fender with the tape at wheel center.

Were they 4 door springs on your 2 dr? If so I'm pretty sure guys see a 1" gain just swapping 4 door Rubicon springs onto their 2drs which would confirm my suspicion that the xr springs are only 0.5" taller than equivalent non-xr springs. Most aftermarket springs are listed the same, 2.5" lift 4dr=3.5" lift 2dr etc.

I’d be more curious to see what measurement people are getting as in the image below. Seems like it would be a lot more accurate data. Include what changes have been made like going from OEM plastic bumpers to metal bumper with a winch etc

Definitely more accurate than fenders etc as then you're factoring in tires and such. I didn't bother to measure as it wasn't really important since I was unhappy with bump stop clearance and adding spacers anyway. XR springs and spacers are long gone so I couldn't tell you at this point.

I bought a 23 JLU Rubicon XR 3.6 with OEM plastic bumpers. I added an ARB front and rear bumpers, Warn winch, Metalcloak skids, and RSE step sliders. I was hitting the front jounce tubes hard even on road at times. Recently I added a Teraflex 1.5” spacer lift. My measurement at that point is now 13.5 inches.

My 2024 JLURX with steel bumpers and winch, with 1" front spacer, is right at 12.75" axle to spring hat. I only lost about 1/4" by adding the winch, but still added the 1" spacer.

2 door springs that match the options. Springs uncompressed are only 1/2 inch or so higher but the coil wrap is different.
