On both my 18 and 21 JL with 8.4 Uconnect I’m experiencing the same issue. I have to constantly adjust the temp control to get warm or cold air. Like if I set it to 74 and it’s blowing hot air than some distance later the outside temp drops 10 15 degree and it starts to blowing cold air, I have to constantly adding or lowering the temp to keep the damn vent blowing warm air.

Also, I can feel that passenger side vent temp is dramatically different than driver side even they are set to the same temp.

So do I just use HI and LO and forgot it’s so-called automatic ac?

I've never been happy with Auto climate control in cars. It never works. I think it's a gimmick, personally. Give me back the blue to red slider control and I'd be happy. Tuning in an exact number is distracting and uneventful. It is this atrocious failure in automotive climate control that sends me running from self-driving cars. If I can't trust it to adjust my AC, why would I trust it driving?

I've been experiencing this same issue and have taken it multiple times to the dealer. They said they order a brand new unit and replaced where the knobs are. It still blow HOT air on driver but not passenger. I have to have on full blast AC for it to blow cold air. I need to take it back but haven't have the time to leave it for 5 days to get it reviewed again. I brought to their attention a thread I read about it needing to be reset and they said my jeep was built after that and the computer doesn't say it needs an update. Any ideas of what I need to do to get this fixed? I just don't want my engine to overheat or something.
