AC acting crazy

Looks like my AC has his own opinion on when I should have cool or hot air.

I keep it pretty much all the time on 71 degree and in summer time it provided me with a nice cool breeze. Lately it’s getting colder outside and the AC (still on 71 degree) decides to blow warm/hot air instead of cold air. I did not change any settings.
At some point when still on 71degree it gets so hot that I have to turn it off or it burns my hand.

Only solution I found is to switch to MAX/AC to get the 71degree back to a nice cold breeze (works only for a moment and than back to warm/hot air.

I know many have issues with their AC so I’m hopping someone has already experience with that type of problem.

And yes the thing where all the sudden warm and humid air comes out of the flor vents is present as well.

That totally makes sense I agree:like:... BUT should it not be consistent? If AC blows cold air at 71, I expect it to Always do it when I have it set to 71 no matter if car is hot or cold inside.
Might be just me being kind of ridiculous:cwl:

It's called a Thermostat.
Another 21st Century first world problem.

Personally, this is one of the things that infuriates me the most about modern cars. Cars were designed correctly back when they had the dials to indicate hot/cold for the HVAC system rather than these ridiculous thermostats that NEVER work correctly in any car I've ever driven or ridden in.

They all hunt around constantly, and are very inconsistent depending on humidity, outside temperature, inside temperature, amount of sunlight in the car...

Got the JL Basic HVA/C (one temp. control). Works Great! Seen that problem on other duel zone cars also, cycles back, & forth, hot & cold.

I have had 0 issues with my AC, and love the thermostat temperature control. If you want cold air no matter what, just set it to LO. Hot air, set it to HI. Once you’re comfortable just set it to 70 and auto.
