I have searched and searched this forum. When I bought my JLUS 2018 it did not have the Aux switches in it. I had the dealer install them. I can find the wires in the engine compartment no problem, but I have looked and looked and looked on the passenger side and there are no loose wires, no zip-tied loose wires, nothing. Nada. I did find a, it looks like an electrical taped together bundle of a ground and 3 hot wires, none switched. It looks like it runs generally in the area to the new aux switches, but I need a switched 12v so my dash cam only comes on when I start the Jeep.

So, does anyone know where I can tap into a switched 12v source behind the glove box?

Thank you.

You're saying "switched" but you mean Accessory power? In other words powered when the ignition is ON or ACC?

The 12v socket in the dash is wired that way. You can tap from that.

Look under the passenger side carpet, near the firewall. There's a harness that runs from the center of the Jeep outboard to the Passenger side foot well. The AUX wiring should be either taped or zip tied to that harness. I don't have my Jeep here, otherwise I could take pics for you.

In case someone else comes across this and has the same question, those of us who had the AUX switches installed after purchase seem to only get the wires (and only 4 rather than 6) under the hood. I figured it out while also trying to wire a dash cam

Whew!!! You saved me a lot of time. THANK YOU!!

I did find those 4 wires inside the truck that the dealer put in and put electrical tape around, but I have no idea which goes to what and where. :)

If one has it installed at the dealer, the dealer should be easily able to tell you where they are.

One of the stickies at the top of this section identifies which wire goes to which switch. (The dealership labeled mine so I didn't have to guess.)
