Took my Jeep out the other day for the first time, at approx. 400K on it.
Snow and some light mud was par for the couple of hours I was out.
The ABS and Traction Control lights came on, not sure just when in the trip. (having to much fun to notice)
On the way out is when I noticed, decided to do brake check to see if ABS was working, it was not.
Stopped at a place to have lunch, when coming out after the lights were out.
Suspect snow or whatever covered a sensor?
If that is the case is there a way to stop this from happening?

After lunch noticed the check engine light was on.
Everything seemed fine, drove home and parked.
Approx. 2hr later started it back up and light was clear.
Any ideas?

My Gladiator did that before the aux battery went haywire and then died a few weeks later.

Bad wheel speed sensor is the most likely cause. Second is a connector to the wheel speed sensor having water/mud/dirt in it.
