Same here. My JL Rubicon ABS/4 wheel drive light went on episodically at 600 miles and the steering has been loose and sloppy since mile one.

@Mathusala - did you get this fixed yet? I ask because I have a similar issue. My dealer is replacing the ABS module; however, I’m told the part is on backorder and no ETA (as of yesterday when I dropped it off).

For what it’s worth, I think my intermittent ESC light has been fixed. Engineer found the brake booster vacuum pump wasn’t pulling enough vacuum because the hose on the pump side was restricting it. They replaced the hose with one from another Jeep and no issues. He tested my hose on the other Jeep and it had the problem. They’re sending it off to engineering for analysis.

Just want to tag onto this to see if anyone finds any other fixes. I took my car back to the dealer with 100 miles on it! The Traction Control and ABS lights were both on along with the "Service Electronic Stability" warning. The dealer replaced the vacuum pump, ABS module, and PCM module. I finally got my jeep back and not even 20 miles later the traction control light came back on!!! It's now sitting back at the dealer... who is puzzled as to what to do next. I've owned the jeep for a little over three weeks - I've had it in my possession for 5 days, the dealer has had it the remainder of the time. This is ridiculous!

Did they attempt to figure out why the light keeps coming on? Get them to call in their district engineer. They’re just throwing parts at it guessing rather than analyzing the system to find the root cause.

They claim that they have the engineers involved. And they’re saying they’ve changed all these things because that’s what Chrysler is telling them to do... we made a case with Chrysler today though- so we’ll see how that goes!

I had mine for only two days when it happened. Just got mine on Labor Day. Yesterday I was stopping to make a turn to get in my neighborhood and suddenly I heard a popping and hissing sounds. Then “Service Electronic Stability system” light came on and telling me to shift to “P”. Car wasn’t moving and I had to restart the engine several times before I could drive into my neighbors

What code are you getting?
I don't have an OBDII reader but it's the same circumstances each time: While in 4H (not sure if it applies to 4L since most of my trails are in 4H), both the Service ESC & ESS Disabled light come on after some time on the trail. It's not within the first couple minutes but maybe 30+ minutes depending on the trail. Continue on the trail and then shift back in 2H and the lights remain on. Once I turn the vehicle off, both ESC & ESS lights are gone

@rizej - sorry man. My issue was definitely different. Only my esc came on no matter what and it didn’t go off until I turned off the Jeep - then would come back on when I restarted and drove a little. Ended up going to dealer and the system stored the code each time. Best bet is to find out what code is getting stored and start from there or just take it to a quality dealer service department - emphasis on quality.
