Brand new ‘22 JLUR. 280 miles. 6 MT. I’ll be reaching out to the dealership about this, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and what the resolution was.
At times when I start the Jeep in the morning and shift from first to second, I barely need to give it any acceleration to get it going. It can move so fast my first reaction is to take it out of gear. Twice in the past twenty-four hours, I’ve taken it out of gear and the RPMs will go right to 3000 without me even touching the gas pedal. If I tap the gas pedal, the RPMs will go to a normal idling level. My last two vehicles (‘04 TJ & ‘10 Subaru) have had high idles when I do a cold start, which I know is normal, until the engine reached a certain temperature or I tapped the gas pedal, but this doesn’t feel right in the ‘22 JL.
I’m wondering if it’s an issue with the electronic throttle. There are no CELs or warning messages either.
