So. Here's my route. AAOA with a friend. Then down to Windrock, across to Uwharie, up to Peters Mill run, Wilmington for drinks and dinner, then back home. I have 11 days. If you want I'll take pics. If you don't, I'll still take pics. Going solo for everything but AOAA. Wish me luck, the trip starts on the 7th.

Awesome! There is a Jeeper headed from CAN @M_Pluto in NJ the weekend of Sept 8, 9 and 10th that may want to tag along. My understanding is she will be taking a southeast loop back to the Vancouver, CAN area. She is in a stock Rubi. I will install a full set of Metalcloak skids for her while she is in NJ.

Hopefully she reaches out to you and you guys can get your schedules aligned.

You and M_Pluto should discuss .75" spacers to compensate for the increased weight of the skid plates. They're only $75 ish, and I truly think they make the Wrangler's suspension sit right afterwards.

I'll give them a think.... If I get them, they would need to arrive in NJ before the 8th, or I'd need them sent to someone else I know along the trip to be able to pick them up.

I was going to take her out to Rauch Creek, but her scheduled changed.

She'll have all the parts for a complete 4in lift (plus a few stackable .05 Teraflex spacers) in her garage when she moves to 37's next summer.

IMHO, it'll be a waste of time with the minimal loss from the weight of the skids to do it now. she doesnt have a winch at this point either.
(She'll be okay with a spotter on 5/6 trails, or easier "blues")

That's fine, I didn't know there was a lift in her future. Stick is fine. I'll bring my torque wrench, as my skid plates had a 50 mile torque check. Either way I'll have it.

I'll make sure she gets her Uwharrie badge.

AOAA was amazing. We had the entire park to ourselves. Ran greens all day, and ended up finishing right before a thunderstorm. Thursdays are my favorite AOAA day.

Just landed at the southern entrance to Shenandoah NP. Had a day with the @M_Pluto crew, we hammered the Dickey Bell trail. No, the Dickey Bell trail hammered us. Lol. Great trip so far.

Drove through Shenandoah National Park today. Beautiful views. Gorgeous weather.

Hit a heavy rainstorm in MD and lost my new paint job. ?

Alas,
My journey has come to an end. I wheeled in some awesome locations, met some great people (and dogs) and had an all around good time. Today, I got stuck in some light traffic...

and on my final voyage home.

One last trip this year, going to Maine for the Jeep Jamboree, and then hopefully get this poor thing clean again.
