Holy shit, I know where that is!
Mine's currently being held on with zip ties. Though I never realized that's what it was. If you go to where your hood catch is. That little hook thing. The bar that The hook sits inside, and latches on, it's on the bottom side of that bar. You'll probably have to take off your grill to access it. I'll go see if I can't take a picture of mine real quick.

The 800F reading is a glitch in the Jeep matrix along with the 999,999 miles reading. I would not spend any money at all changing parts.
