The issue I am having is when stopped I press the clutch and it will not go into 1st gear smoothly or any gear from a stop. No grinding, I have to put steady pressure and then it will go into gear. No issues while I am driving just when I am from a stop. It feels like the gate shift is not aligned. Is there any adjustments that can be done?

This sounds like the clutch is slightly dragging like the pressure plate is not fully releasing. What you are likely feeling is the synchro on that gear match rotation speed due to the clutch slightly dragging. This will put early wear on the synchros if not addressed soon. Sorry to hear this :(

I do agree with this. One thing that helps at a stop is to put the transmission in 2nd for a brief moment before shifting to first.

OEM or Aftermarket clutch? Any recent brake jobs? Anything recently worked on? Could be a bit of air in the hydraulics as well.

No clutch or brake work. Seems to be getting worse.

I would bleed the clutch hydraulics as a first step just to make sure there's no air in the line. Any air in the line can cause less travel of the clutch fork that the release bearing has to push against the pressure plate. It is an easier first step than pulling the entire transmission.

Check your cables, that procedure posted above might help. But it does sound like the clutch is not releasing, either air, a leak, or physical defect with the slave cylinder. With the active recall, you should really take it to the shop if this is getting worse.
