I apologize, nothing meant by it other than if you haven't travelled into areas like that you may not understand the need. I guess it didn't come out the way i meant it....

I was in Moab last month.. same thing there off some of the simplest trails.
I'm def also in the camp that people should at the very least be able to request one without paying an absurd price.

But I'm still confused by what type of info you need to be looking up in a user manual in these scenarios. I have to assume you are plenty familiar with how your Jeep works before heading to places like Moab?

I had no signal for 3 days on the Cassiar Highway on the way to Alaska. Also true in Teklanika in Denali National Park and numerous other places across Canada and Alaska. This was also true in some parts on Montanna. Sometimes you don't even have to be off-road for it.
What does cell phone signal has to do with having the PDF manual stored on your phone?

It goes like this.....BEFORE buying the vehicle you are considering...download the PDF manual to your phone (plus PC, IPAD, whatever you like to read on). Familiarize yourself with the vehicle.

Go buy vehicle, you will know all the basics.

If ever you have a question, while in the vehicle, out of the vehicle, at home, at a hotel, at the beach, pickup your phone open the PDF manual, search, and answer your question.

Thats not the full version of the manual. Look that one up. My 2025 also came with a "manual" Lots of info missing.

PDF version is better anyway and searchable.
All real 2023 Wrangler Factory/Mopar Owners Manuals are only 396 pages. It is the fullest as it gets for 2023.

And I prefer the printed manual. Looking at the information on an itty-bitty cellular telephone screen is a pain the ass.

I think someone mentioned a paper copy is $60.

Is...that... an absurd price on a vehicle that costs $50,000?

Also, the electronic manual is accessible (and searchable) without cell service if you load it to a device.

I get it...some people like to hold a paper copy in their hand... but really, how many times do you need to reprogram Homelink while wheeling a trail off grid in Moab?

I actually can't think of anything in the owner's manual that would have helped me in an off-road situations anyway.

$60 for a likely print as needed book seems pretty reasonable to me.

Same. I also agree that it used to be included in the purchase price, however, we got a toolkit with ours that we weren't expecting that didn't come in other Wranglers like the JK. Between a paper owner's manual thrown in for free, or a toolkit, I'd rather have the tools!

I'm guessing the next thing they stop giving you for free is the spare tire...it is a spare tire, not really necessary.

This was in respect to having to look something up on the trail. You are right. I could download a manual, All I am asking for information in a manual like the JK had or even my 2021. I guess that's too much to ask for $60000 ++++

, it's just one more cheap move by JEEP. Someone figured out that if the manuals were half as large across a ton of vehicles, they would save more money.. I am sure that's the driver. I worked in corp america. follow the $$$

This whole debate here is really probably generational, I am an older guy and I like paper. The younger generation likes digitial. At my son's wedding I gave a speech. my notes were on paper. the bridesmaid and best man had their speeches on their phone

whether I go to Moab or Dairy queen, I think it's a cheap move on Stellantis part for the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned.

I called the Jeep customer care line and requested a copy of the Jeep Warranty Information booklet that is only available on line and can't be purchased. The representative was not helpful and turfed me to the dealer. The warranty information booklet is far more relevant than the Sirus XM and consumer information guides in the glove box set provided. A little dubious/suspicious that a 30 page warranty booklet is excluded IMO.

In most other countries in the world people get and pay all their bills from their phones, credit cards never leave the wallet or are even carried, since watches and phones tap and pay everywhere.

It is sad how backwards America is these days when it comes to technology adoption.
I refuse to sign my life to f-ing phone and depend of that stupid "invention". It is turning to a must for every aspect of my life and I do not like it. I might be in minority here but resist having 250+ applications for everything I want to do in my life...
Sorry to all who might get offended with how I like to organize my own life and my free time...
