I was looking closely at the 4xe to take advantage of the massive incentives... finally came to my senses and realized that they ain't making any more V8s and I should get it on the 392. Our closest dealership in SWFL has six of them in stock... a couple of them have a dealer markup on the window sticker, but I believe those days are over.

It's either white, black or earl for the color.

Should I shoot for MSRP or should I expect a bit under?

Not looking to rake anyone over the coals... just a fair and equitable price.

You should be able to custom order under INVOICE. Check @Ratbert 's signature, he keeps a spreadsheet.

For example, Tri-City near me is doing 3% under invoice on final edition orders.

The problem is I need one that's in stock... sold our other car and it's getting picked up today.

In that case they kinda got you over a barrel. Go see the dealer with stock and try to get a deal where you don't need to provide your own Vasoline.
And don't expect a reach-around.

I know it may be cool to have a V8 and I am a V8 guy from way back, but does the additional cost really justify the difference in performance between the V8 and the V6? I was surprised that the performance of the V6 in a Rubi was more than satisfied. Maybe that had to do with the 4.10 gears as opposed to the non-Rubi models with the gear being a higher gear (lower numerically).

But the 12" screen. Worth $30k?
Have the larger screen now, have had the regular one. Larger one is not worth paying more for imo

Thought about this one more, need to elaborate. For a long time, I was a car audio snob. At some point in the getting older process I outgrew the need to have the best of the best in that area. Now if the vehicle has a decent to good sounding stock system I don't start ripping out parts.

tl,dr version = the larger screen stock Alpine system does not sound as good as it did with the 8" headunit.

Elaboration part, 8" stock Alpine system vs. larger (current) screen stock Alpine system.

I am on JL #4 (2018, 2022, 2022, now 2024) all have had the stock Alpine system. The 18, 22, and 22 had the 8" screen - and that stock system isn't bad, sounds pretty decent and I did not want to immedialty change anything. Relatively confident that the stock Alpine system speakers did not change between 2018-2024. However, my current JL, 2024 (larger screen) sounds like garbage. I have tweaked everything you can tweak on the headunit, tried every differnt source I have and no matter how much I adjust the eq, fader, speed sensitive off, on, level 1, 2, 3, etc. it still sounds pretty terrible.
My conclusion, it's the headunit itself. Jeep did something weird with the internal settings/programming on the new headunit (larger screen) that makes the whole system just not sound anywhere near as good as it did with the 8".

Not excited at the prospect of swapping out the head unit and know that there are not likely many options out there atm to do that. But if I decided to keep this JL I will more than likely be in the market for a replacement. The weak link in the current system seems to be the head unit. The larger screen is subjectively cooler vs. the 8". Personally I liked the look of the dash a little better with the 8", the issue for me is the audio performance, which imo the larger screen version lacks in.
If any of you have had the opportunity to listen to the stock Alpine with the 8" vs. the larger version I am pretty sure you have noticed the differnce as well.

Another (in a long line of) Miami scam artists... complete scumbag. They fail to show their $12k market adjustment. They show $15k off MSRP and then verbally told me $12k market adjustment would come to $3k OVER MSRP. I challenged the math and all the guy did was keep arguing for me to fill out a credit app. What a joke.

Just send a bunch of emails or call the sales managers in the area and ask for their best OTD price on in stock 392's. Or find the one you like and ask for X amount of dollars off. Worst they do is counter. Pretty easy to buy new vehicles right now.
