392 Auxiliary switch issue

I connected my ARB compressor to Aux switch #3 and set it to “ignition” in the settings menu; however, it can still be turned on even when the ignition button is in Run mode. I don’t want the air compressor to be able to run without the ignition being on so that the battery doesn’t drain. My 2018 JL did not have this issue. Maybe a software bug with the 392?

I believe it’s working as designed? It can either be activated with the jeep off, or with the key on Run, but it will still activate if the engine is not running as long as the engine start button is on run mode.

From what I recall on my 2018 JL, it would only turn on with the engine running. I could be mistaken.

I could also be mistaken. I’ll check on my 2021 JLUR and get back to you but it may not be until tomorrow. Hopefully others can chime in before then.

David is right? "ignition" means when key turned on, doesn't matter if engine is running.

On my 18, when set to "battery", aux can be turn on anytime. When set to "ignition", aux can only be turn on when key detected, acc or run, regardless of engine running or not.

Ok interesting. For some reason, I really thought the engine had to be running on my 2018. I guess that is not the case.
