I have 37" BFG KM3's. I am at 17.7 mpg hand calculated. I've kept track of all my gas and average it out in a spreadsheet. I got the 37" tires put on at 8,000 miles and am at 28,000 miles now.

I think the biggest variable that pretty much ruins all the mpg numbers is the wind. There are weeks I end up with 15.5mpg and others at 17.2 and I feel like that's largely influenced by how windy it is and if im driving into it. I remember last time I went to Moab we drove into 30mph wind gusts for 5-6 hours straight. I got 11.3mpg.

Maybe my gas mileage would improve if I wasn't always driving with the windows down haha.

I only avg around 15-16 with my 35s and rubicon lift. Makes me kind of sad to be honest. Even with a lot of highway driving I don't get much higher.

I also don't rip on the gas very much. I have 1200 miles and actually did full open throttle a couple times finally before and after installing the ripp coil packs.

I get about 16 around my hilly town if I dont get my foot into it. I run 4.88s

I think gas mileage is mostly in our heads. If you drive 15k a year the difference between 15mpg and 25 mpg is 21 bucks a week. Nothing to break the bank over..even for a cheap sake like me.

I think the real issue is range. For guys running in the middle of no where it may be something to consider.

True, when you think of it that way it's about $1000-1400 difference per 15k miles depending on prices and about $20-24 a week. Not too bad considering you are paying a little extra to enjoy the Jeep. I have a Chevy volt and I haven't driven it in a month since I've been enjoying the jeep

i have some 33 in KO2's on my JL i put them and new rims on in the fall and went from 22-25 miles a gallon to 17-20. i didn't calibrate the speedometer so i know it reads a little low. its about 3 mph slow, according to gps speeds. they just moved my work location from springfield va which was a 52 mile one way commute to sterling va which is 78 miles one way. now, i barely get two round trips done and have about 20 miles left on the range meter as i roll into my local gas station. i might have to put the stock rims and tires back on until fall....
anybody know how big the jl gas tank is (2 door). i have never been able to put more than 14.8 gallons into it. i thought it was supposed to have a 18 gallon tank.

I have the 3.6 motor on my 2018 Jeep rubicon. I'm running 37s with 410 gears I do hit 7th and eighth on the highway I only get 200 miles on a tank of gas. If I go to 488 they said my gas mileage will decrease is that right? If so I can't imagine getting less than 200 miles on a tank of fuel. How many miles are y'all getting on a tank of gas if it's more than 200 miles which it said I should get 250 to 300 with 37s and 410s what is wrong I only have 40,000 miles and that is around town not on the highway ?

I run 5.13s and get 12.4 at 80, 17 at 60 and in the 14s around town. Tazer adjusted for gear and tire size.
5.13s leap from a dead stop, passes great and accelerates to highway speed quickly.

Cruise generally set at 85mph and its 12-13mpg. Towing the 6800lb full water buffalo it's closer to 10mpg. Being that we are only on the property ~5 days every 6 weeks the 500 gallons lasts about 2 years.

my overall hand figured mpg on my just completed moab trip including trails was 15.1 mpg I did 1709 miles and took 112.951 gallons of fuel. ran 3 trails so that would have knocked my overall average down a bit. 37's and 4.10's lots of up and down between Missoula and Moab. going had a headwind/crosswind coming back a tailwind/crosswind. my hand calcs match the jeeps computer within a few tenths.. on the trail would get somewhere around 4-6mpg.. on this trip I did not figure all the trail miles separately but somewhere around 100+ miles of trails were included in the tally.

12 to 15. I don’t look at my MPG or gas prices at the pump anymore. Unless your gas mileage suddenly drops and you suspect an issue, why torture yourself? I bought it to enjoy it offroad, not for the gas mileage,

for me it is about range not mpg. getting 10-12mpg with a 20 gallon tank would sux..getting 10-12mpg with a 30 gallon tank not so much.....when traveling out west where you can drive 80 mph it is nice not having to stop every 2 hours to get gas....

when I am traveling I get the most convenient Cenex, Chevron, Shell or Phillips etc station I can get too. At home I am close to Cenex and Conoco so unless I am at Costco for a particular reason will use those.
