My son has a 2023 RURD and wants to get rid of the 3 hon blasts when exiting the jeep while running as well as lock it without the honks.
Apparently jeep will not let him do this because idiots were forgetting to shut off their jeeps without it. Mandated: no more disabling it.
Jscan will not allow it. Finally to my question..... Will the Tazer mini allow this?

Taser mini has that feature, though it does not work in the summer when the doors are removed and stored in the garage

I've disabled it with the Tazer.

As stated, Tazer will allow you to disable this annoying feature.

Which one did you go with? The only one I find on Amazon doesn't have any reviews but I'm not very good at searching. Thanks!

Look up your vehicle, they are guaranteed to fit and there are different lengths to choose from. I went with the shortest one, 3 inches. Worth every penny.

Edit: the seat belt extension does not disable the 3 horn beeps.

So yours is short and rigid ? :CWL: mine is too , they disable the exit honks too, great. It took me a couple weeks to not automatically reach too low and unbuckle the extension 🙃
but I occasionally still do. 🙄

The problem I just can't seem to get over; I clip my key fob on my belt loop, I get out to get the mail, boom! 3 horn blast! DAD BURN IT!
I put the key fob in the cup holder. No horn beeps, great! Now I forget about it and lock myself out. Something had to give. The seatbelt extender and a valet key in my wallet. 👍

So the extension doesn’t disable the exit honks ? I’m confused. 21’s aren’t saddled with that “feature”. The $20 was well spent to disable auto park.

What is an RURD???
I tried to Google it, but Google wants to change it to TURD.🤦‍♂️

As to your question, Tazer or seat belt extension, or leave key FOB in vehicle will fix the 3 honk. The 3 honk is from taking the FOB with, when exiting the vehicle.
The honk when locking, I believe can be shut off in the infotainment system. Atleast on our 21 and 22 anyways.

@Medsker

After having this conversation no, the seat belt extension does not eliminate the 3 horn beeps. I'm very sorry about that. I can back up having my seat belt unbuckeled.

Sorry 😞

Buckle seatbelt, completely close door, pull ahead to gate, open door unbuckle, open gate, close door buckle, pull thru gate, open door unbuckle, close gate, door, buckle, go. .. $20 , open gate, hold door open pull thru and close gate- go. I need to get one for the GC too since the “add auto park recall” and Ca wouldn’t register it until completed. 🤨

Your experience using the Tazer to disable the 3 Horn may vary. I can't seem to get it to remain set, it will inevitably refuse to acknowledge that it's disabled. The Tazer setting shows it's overridden but it still honks until I unset it and then set it back to on.

Z Automotive hasn't been much help beyond 'ensuring updates' and full reboots.

Not a huge deal most times until it decides to Honk 3 times at 2am when I get my mail from the community box after work.
