Final update. I'm an idiot! The shop I used to cut out the resonator and weld in the muffler is apparently terrible at exhaust work. It was pouring down rain all day, on the way I drove through a puddle, well forced through standing water or be hit by some inconsiderate moron that's common in the Atlanta area. But after I went through the standing water my Jeep is extremely loud, virtually undriveable because of it. Looked under the jeep when I got home and the weld broke all the way around and the muffler and exhaust are just hanging by the hangers. In summary no muffler or resonator is unbearable. Ordered a Borla Climber Touring kit, in the meantime my Chevelle will be my chariot. hopefully the rain is gone like they're claiming.
