What I’m hoping for is a V6 automatic 4 door Rubicon in Granite with hard top, leather, convenience package, technology package, and 35” package. The Rubicon X would give me all of those but it’s not available in Granite which is why I was going to try for a Rubicon with all those options. When I asked he said you can get all those packages but you can’t get the 35” package and he said nothing at all about possibly adding that package later. ?‍♀

Do you mean when you go to the dealership to submit the order? That’d be interesting to know why.
No, I mean when you talk to one of the dealerships on my spreadsheet to submit the order. Hopefully that's relatively common knowledge here.

If you're ordering from a local dealership then at least make sure you get the affiliate discount.

You can't add the Xtreme 35 package later. You can have the dealership add the various parts from that package (paying for the original parts plus the replacements...while hopefully being able to sell the originals), but that stuff won't be covered under your 3y / 36k warranty.

That’s why I’m trying to wait it out and see if something changes. I want that package from the factory so I don’t have to worry about warranty issues. I know package options have changed throughout this year. Maybe I’ll get lucky. If not I guess I’ll look for a different vehicle.

You can always do what I did and have AEV build it. Expensive AF, but you'll have a full 3y / 36k warranty.

That, of course, won't deal with the Granite Crystal top issues. I have to admit that color / top / fender combo looks great on mine.

When I reached out to Criswell, thank you by the way for providing that spreadsheets as that’s how I got mine, I used the Jeep.com builder to give him the url for the build that I wanted.
I think that’s what you’re saying.

It still shows up as available on the jeep.com site but the dealership is telling you you cannot order it that way. Is that correct?

The builder on jeep.com is notoriously wrong. You can use it as a basic guide, but yeah, you have to work with someone with more accurate details when trying to figure out what combinations are actually available at a given point in time.

So what exactly does the extreme 35-in package consist of?

If it's just a lift and tires and maybe some new wheels, why not just do it yourself?

It also includes 4.56 gears and reinforcements to hold the spare. Possibly a relocation kit for that?

Many of us would rather have all of that done at the factory and have it all fully covered by their warranty. The alternative would be to pay for all the stuff you're replacing and then install the replacements (either yourself (my time is worth a shitload of money) or pay someone else). At that point you've go to get rid of the originals that you've paid for. And, of course, none of that's under the 3y / 36k warranty.

If you don't think the warranty is of use then consider that my rig is going into the shop next Thursday to have the rear diff (4.63s) replaced under AEV's warranty.

Interesting.

I was under the impression that if you get the Mopar lift purchased and installed through a dealership, that it is covered under your warranty. I believe if you get tires through the dealership as well, that's also covered under your warranty. Unless they change that at this point?

My understanding is you'll get a 1y / 12k mile warranty on stuff installed by the dealer.

I'm not a big fan of buying something knowing that I'm going to immediately replace it.
