Is there any consideration for Jeep (Wrangler) 2026 line up to include a power soft top in.addition or to replace the power sliding roof? Companies such as MyTop and Bestop have them available for install. I'd like to think Jeep would make that change to keep the iconic style with the soft top, and allow us Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts, the convenience of the power soft top. While nice and convenient, I am not a big fan of the look of the wrangler with sliding power roof when the doors are off. Thanks for any feedback?

If there are no physical changes in the 2026 related to the top, then it will fit. The one touch is just a glorified sunroof for 5k. Might as well spend it on an actual convertible top and get all the open air freedom you want. You can also sell your factory top to help pay for it. I managed to sell my hard top for 2k making my mytop 3k

I'm not sure where you're getting your pricing details. The SOT is $4k more than the plain soft top, not $5k. That's $1k less than a myTop (before selling whatever it replaced).

The myTop, however, looks slick. I'm betting you can't open and close it while driving up to 59 MPH like a SOT, but it still looks slick.

Why???

The JL OEM soft top is so easy put up, take down. Granted not as simple as a single touch of a button, but how long until that brakes? In your signiture it looks like you have a JK. The JL soft top is a million times better than the JK soft top.

Geez. I only paid 2K for my SOT - ‘21 JLUR.

The 2024 SOT was $3416. If you paid more than that you've overpaid:

That's unexpected. It was $4k for mine in 2022, just like now.

Note that I wanted a body-colored roof, which would have cost $1.9k, so the bump to $4k wasn't too insane.

John, to be honest, you are right. It was a 2K upgrade from the 2K hard top. That’s why I said that.

Youu have insomnia too, brother?

Geez. I only paid 2K net for my SOT - ‘21 JLUR.
As it regards my 2021 JLU, I only paid $1.5K for the 850RE that now demands $4.5K(!) when paired with the Pentastar.

It's $2.5K when paired with the 2.0T.

The $2K variance supports my long-held theory that Stellantis continues to use transmission pricing to incentivize engine selection.

i have a soft top, personally i think it looks MUCH better down, then the my top does.
the sot while cool and convenient im not a fan of having the back window, and the frame still on the jeep when doorless. maybe , ill change my mind later on but for now i like my soft top.

Posted today — did yours have a painted top standard ?
Agree- but I stand by cheap bastards. The painted top was about a $2K option, the SOT ~$4K. Originally the SOT was a $2K option when the $2K painted top was standard. Now full price even when the painted top is standard with the model priced accordingly.
I wonder when it changed ? Maybe some could report according to their year to determine it.

Thanks! I should have been more specific to say, as another roof option; keeping the current manual soft top as an option . Thanks for experience with the latest JL top. I had a JK and '89 wrangler, so it's a bit different experience.

The most cumbersome part about a soft top is installing/swapping it, once it's on, needing a button to drop and raise it, is peak laziness.

I love the Sky One-Touch (SOT) top on my Wrangler because, for me, it’s more than just a sunroof—it’s the one option I would never order a Wrangler without. Living here, where the weather can flip from clear skies to a total downpour in 15 minutes, the SOT just makes sense.

I drive with the top open and the windows down 95% of the time, even on the interstate. If the rain shows up, I just slide over to the right lane, ease below sixty for about 30 seconds, hit the button, and I’m sealed up tight. No stopping on the shoulder, no scrambling with panels.

And it’s not about laziness—it’s about practicality. In the land of sunshine and unpredictable downpours, the ability to adapt instantly is a real advantage.

People who call it a “glorified sunroof” have probably never actually owned a Sky One-Touch. Once you’ve lived with it, you realize it’s an entirely different level of convenience and freedom. If I ever had to live without the SOT, the Bestop soft top would be my fallback, but honestly, nothing compares to what the SOT brings to the table.
