Hello,

I picked up a factory ordered 25 Willys on 12/14. On that day I also bought a one year WiFi subscription via Jeep Connect (no longer AT&T according to my Jeep Connect case manager) even though I was still under the one month trial. I knew I would keep WiFi after the trial so I figured I would get the payment over with.

From 12/14-1/13 the WiFi was flawless, my phone connected without issue, no service interruptions, everything was fine. Then on 1/14 everything stopped. I would connect to the Jeep WiFi for a few seconds, then go back to 5G/LTE and my phone would be directed to a page where I could buy the WiFi subscription. As stated, I already bought the subscription on day 1.

I have not had WiFi since. My Jeep Connect case manager can see that I have purchased a subscription. I have tried factory reset and pulling fuse F97…no luck. My case manager thinks the issue is on their end as Jeep Connect providing WiFi, and not AT&T, is a new thing for 25 and there are wrinkles being sorted out.

Are there any 25 owners experiencing this? I think signing up so soon somehow messed things up.

I know this isn’t going to fix your issue but why connect your phone that already has a cellular data connection that you’re already paying for to another cellular data plan that you have to pay for?

We just bought a new GC... It is still AT&T to be paid for through the AT&T website. I just added an additional year of unlimited data and it's been flawless.

Not all cellular plans include unlimited data. For example, my wife & I are on Google Fi and the math works out.

Like the Case manager said, they're having issues with WiFi. Experiencing the same problems with the vehicles we're building as well.

I'd recommend asking for some sort of accommodation like some credit or rebate going forward until it's sorted out.

Yep, my case manager is counting the days, so when they fix this she says I'll get a refund. I'll just cancel the service anyway. I ended up going unlimited on my cell plan.

AT&T was working fine in my 20 JT, no issues over 5 yrs of ownership, I don't know why they broke what was fixed.

AT&T changed their minds about what they were willing to provide when Stellantis upgraded their UConnect system. The data load was potentially tripling and required connection time also increased. This would have required AT&T to add and upgrade existing towers to accommodate hundreds of thousands of new vehicles utilizing data loads 3-4x that of cell phones. That's just Stellantis' requirements, not sure how messy other brands are data wise. Automobiles are very inefficient when it comes to data, as they've really never been motivated to improve. You would not believe the data load of a Tesla...

I have ATT on my 24 Rubicon, i have sometimes lost wifi, typically a reboot of thr uconnect system fixes it, but one time I had to call ATT and they were able to fix it. It keeps alexia working, plus any devices that don't have a cellular connection.
