I picked up my 2025 JLURX 2.0T from Granger and had a little seat time so I thought I offer a few first impressions based on my 2019 JLUR 2.0 E-Torque.
I love the new UConnect 12.3 screen and it's functionality. It's extremely bright and clear. It seems much more intuitive than the old 8" screen and Car Play seems to work much better. Plus, it's wireless Car Play! The screen is very responsive with very little lag after touching for other functions. I had done an update on my old 2019 UConnect system and had Car Play issues such as disconnecting from calls using the screen buttons after I did the update.
Interior trim. Aside from the 12.3" display I kinda liked the interior touches of my 2019 Rubicon better. The 2025 has lost the bright trim rings on the gauge cluster, dash vents and the steering wheel. That is all trimmed in black now and it just doesn't seem as rich. The stitching on the 2025 interior is a bit odd too. While the 2019 had red stitched trim on everything, the 2025 uses a combination of red and grey which looks a bit odd. The seats and doors are red stitched, but the dash is grey. Not a big deal but it just doesn't look uniform like my 2019. The Napa leather is really amazing. It's very plush, yet firm with a nice matte finish unlike the shiny slick almost vinyl-like leather of my 2019. The 2025 has also lost the interior ambient lighting. The heated steering wheel does not get nearly as warm as the 2019. That's probably ok as I was experiencing some leather delamination in my 2019's wheel perhaps because the steering wheel got so hot. The seats are very comfortable, and I had absolutely no driver fatigue after driving for a thousand miles. I wish the new power seats had a memory function though.
Sky One-Touch top. I'm so glad I chose this option. I was worried it would be too loud and too cold compared to my 2019's hardtop w/freedom panels. I drove my new Jeep from Minneapolis to Colorado Springs in one day and when I left Minneapolis it was -22F! The interior did not feel any colder nor could I tell it was louder than my 2019. I'm still planning on doing a Hotheads liner, but I was pleasantly surprised with the SOT in the cold and wind.
Fuel economy - Of course this will all change as the engine breaks in but I'm beginning to doubt that my 2025 will ever get the MPG my 2019 got. I would get an overall city/highway 21.5 mpg in my 2019 (2.0T with E-torque). The 2019 had a 2" Dynatrac lift and 35's with factory 4.10 gears. The 2019 also had a front steel bumper, winch and steel skids. The new Jeep has the 35's as well and 4.56 gears. From Minneapolis to Colorado Springs overall average mpg was a dismal 15.5 mpg. I did have a pretty good head wind on I-80 heading west most of the way and I saw average mileage drop as low as 12.8!! I'm sure things will improve as the engine breaks in and loosens up.
Turbo lag - I was expecting the 2025 to be much laggier off the line that the 2019 with E-torque. I don't find that to be the case. perhaps the 4.56 gears help but the 2025 feels very similar to the 2019 in regard to lag and throttle response. I don't hate the feel of the ESS on the 2025 as I thought I might after having E-torque, in which the ESS is almost impossible to detect.
LED headlights. My 2019 had the LED headlights but something seems to be changed. The 2025 headlights are very good, but I wonder if Jeep changed the color temperature on the lighting. I used to get flashed all the time in my 2019 as the lights were very, very white. The 2025 lights seem to be a bit warmer in color tone. No complaints though as they are very good, and I love the auto dimming function.
Those are some first impressions. Looking forward to getting to know this new Jeep a bit more. I'm very happy with my decision to purchase it.

Addressing your sound deadening question; it's hard to answer because I'm comparing two different tops. My 2019 had a hardtop with Freedom panels (non-insulated) and my new 2025 has the Sky One-Touch. I was expecting that the 2025 would be louder (and colder) with the canvas top, but it sounds about the same as my 2019 at all speeds. Perhaps that is due to the new sound deadening features you mention. I find the noise levels in the 2025 completely acceptable.
