2024 UConnect and text announcements

Greetings all. Just wondering if anyone knows how to just get a text alert chime instead of an announcement.. I’ve checked all of the menus on my iPhone and the uConnect and the only two things that occur:
1 - a loud announcement of “new text message from ___________(full name of contact)”
or
2 - no alert at all

is there a way to just get a chime alert? I prefer to connect with Bluetooth instead of CarPlay because Bluetooth gives the option to read the messages.

Not that I know of.

CarPlay will read messages for you.
