First mod you should buy without question is the redline tuning hood struts. Don't ask, don't type, dont do anything except head over to their site and click buy.

ao idk if i want to do that on the 2 door , i want a smooth drive 85% city 15% duning offroad , not planning on rock krawling at all
Both our posts were jokes. Just about everything on a wrangler can be modified easily and to insane levels.

A little more direction is needed.

Oh well in that case just drive it and see what you need over time. Your first mods should be personalizing the Jeep to you, do a few wheeling trips see where you actually have short comings and mod for performance from there.

Or Tons and 44s and a v8 swap .. whichever you prefer

Do you have some idea of what you want the end result of this project to be / look like? That will help us guide you towards some specific upgrades.

Everyone's tastes and needs are different, so it's probably not that helpful for all of us to just start listing off our own favorite upgrades.

The only truly "universal" upgrade that pretty much everyone should have is the Redline hood struts already mentioned above.

Also you may want to think about ditching the OEM main battery before it leaves you stranded somewhere, and upgrade it to a good AGM battery.

And don't forget to push down on all your fuses in your fuse box to make sure they're all seated, because in new Jeeps they usually aren't.

Jeeps are built so you throw the hood on the windshield frame when you service them. Hood struts are completely unnecessary.

OP- get a recovery strap and go have fun, never wheel alone. Your rubicon 2dr will outwheel your skillset for a LONG time without mods.

Beautiful JL! ?

I recommend a vigorous polish while you admire it's beauty. Then after you're done pleasuring yourself, enjoy a nice drive ?

Naw man those struts are dope as hell. pop the latches and slide the catch and the hoods up for 90% of your working, if you need the hood all the way out of the way then you can easily disconnect them and put it back.

I spent plenty of time under the hood of my TJ, and the access was better than nearly anything else I've ever worked on. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

I open my JL hood once every 5k miles for an oil change.

My main focus is to have a capable jeep for duning and upgrade the audio system , i had my first jeep which was a gladiator and i mod it pretty heavy , learned alot about jeeps, this 2 door drives awsome but never had a jl let alone a 2 door and i know wheelbase has alot to do , thats why i want to know what you guys have done to the 2 door jeeps what works for sucha. Short wheelbase and also 2024 changes alot of stuff so want to know whats compatible with previous years and also whats new to offer

Unless you don't feel like throwing the hood that far back and just need it open for quick service? Or perhaps you just dont feel comfortable laying the hood back onto the windshield? They 100% are worth the money over using the hood prop.
