Most of the time, companies will pull non-union employees from other plants to keep operations going at snails pace. But at least they try to keep things moving.
I understand and to a large extent support employees on strike, but I’m very grateful to those who kept things moving and helped my JL get across the finish line. ?

This is my 3rd Wrangler / 4th Jeep, and ironically this one was the fastest of the lot: 6 weeks from order to delivery, versus 2-4 months for the other ones. Fastest snail in this race!

Apparently the build was completed just before the strike, which helped I’m sure.

I’m still in a holding pattern as well. Dealership is showing D1 for end of October. Not sure that is realistic. Fingers crossed!

Wow! You’re very lucky! I ordered 2 days before you and am still in “C”. My build is also a 2-door Rubi. I’m wondering if it’s because I ordered a manual 6-speed. ?

New to the forum, and placed an order through my dealership about 2 weeks ago, right at the beginning of the strike. The dealer is telling me that the new order has a VIN and stock number, but I have yet to receive any emails from Jeep regarding progress. Do you think this is because of the strike, or did others have to wait a little while before the emails started?

Thanks!
I ordered in early September and received an "order confirmed" email from Jeep with VIN the next day.

I sitting at 123 on my 392. Still at C/D. Mine is definitely not the slowest but it’s in the back of the pack. ?

I have reached 165 days today. Definitely not a milestone I wanted to reach. Jeep needs to get their act together, and I’m not talking about the strike. It is ridiculous that sold orders are not built in an orderly fashion in between dealers orders. A similar order placed 3 months later should NOT be delivered first.

I worked in the media for around 30 years. I am seriously considering producing a piece on how certain orders are purposely delayed because they aren’t ”green” enough for cafe standards/carbon credits. Once enough 4XE’s are sold, then they let a few other orders through, etc, etc, etc. Rubicons with V6’s and 392’s, are being delayed the most because they are what most loyalists want, but they aren’t available on lots. The dealers that sold the most 4XE’s get the allocations for the non 4XE’s sooner than other dealers, which explains why some people have been waiting up to 6 months for their orders while others get their orders sooner. Yada, yada, Yada, you get the idea.

Oh, and let’s not forget that you can’t get in reach with anyone to really find out what is going on with your order because @JeepCares is just an answering service. Generic form letters galore!

The explanation for the ~12% loss in Wrangler sales…

What do you think?

If you have the means go for it. I will say my local Jeep dealer hasn't had but 5 2024's. A couple of 2 door 2.0L and now they have had 3 392's listed on their site for a couple of weeks that came in as the strike started. My dealer told me that those were ordered just before mine and that he hoped mine would be coming up soon. I'm still at C/D (114 days). I find myself wondering if they were dealer orders or sold orders because they've been listed for a couple of weeks now. They came in the first 10 days of the strike.

My husband ordered a car (not Stellantis) right after I did and there is no way of tracking it according to his dealer. I guess it just shows up between 6-12 months and they let you know. All of it seems really terrible.

If it makes you feel better go for it!! Venting to customer care helped me feel better about the situation, but only momentarily as I see more and more orders placed later that are "jumping the line" as far as I and others are concerned. Congrats to them I guess.

@JeepCares and US customer service are equally useless for this specific matter. I'm now in the queue with "Heather" and I guess I'll get the bi-weekly form letter that tells me nothing has changed as well.

What they're doing - outside of the strike - at best is sheer dishonesty and at worst, fraud. They don't tell you when you order a wrangler that it's going to be 6-12 months for certain trim levels. Someone above customer service pay-grade and outside of the dealer communication channels clearly knows they're not fulfilling certain trims and they should be communicating that. They owe it to their dealers and they owe that to those of us waiting an inordinate length of time to even get scheduled.

There's no genuine reason to hold back sold orders outside of a parts shortage and if there is, just be honest about it. They'd gain a lot more trust and loyalty out of it than whatever game they're playing now.

Their hiding behind "we understand your frustration" and "there is nothing holding your order back" is useless to us, especially as you said, it's clear they're filling orders placed months later. Their lack of help only serves to erode any sense of caring on their part. Given this will be my first new Jeep, it feels like they've essentially punched me in the face, broken my nose, and with a smile said "Welcome to the Jeep family." I don't NEED a Jeep and this brand is teetering on the verge of dead to me.

@GrumpyOldVet my bi weekly emails are not even bi weekly any more... LMAO they cant even get that right. I agree its REALLY frustrating being I placed my order literally right after pricing was announced (4 May) and mine is somewhere on the line (supposedly at the body vendor), but people who ordered 2-3 months later are driving around in their new Jeeps while I just wait. (I'm happy for anyone who gets their jeep just sucks).

In my location I know exactly what was done. Jeep knew about the strike and they made all of us suffer (because they already have us as sold orders) and they boosted the 4XE and others to the front of the line for "some" dealer inventory so there would be jeeps on the lot for the strike, and they get to sell those. THEN build out ours after the strike and they still get paid.

NOW I know some places have not really even gotten anything for 2024.. not sure how that happened.

Personally I learned to detest what Jeep is doing. They are screwing any new buyers they can without one regard to doing it. They don’t give a shit who gets a Jeep, how long they are waiting, etc
And these price increases like $4,500 for an auto are simply screwing us. Add in questionable quality control and sub par warranty service and I feel like a fool for having one on order

1. Government mandated quotas on EV/Hybrid production
2. NTSB/Government hold on manual transmissions/clutch recall
3. Government push to eliminate fossil fueled vehicles
4. Major strike issue is the battery factories.
See a pattern here? Most 4xe orders are being expedited and go to the front of the line.

Did you get the email from Granger about having to have taxes included in your loan and a check cut back when they send the title?

Apparently, people were ordering, picking it up, not paying taxes on the sale, and selling before registering? Then apparently this gets back to Stellantis probably due to a charge back and then put that back on the dealer that sold it.

Yep I got it. It sucks that people are taking advantage of it, but thats life I guess. I'm just curious how it will work for me cause I will be doing DV plates and that takes a sizable chunk off for me from what I understand. Hell I just want my jeep to get there so I can drive it.... I'm tiered of driving my CJ around with maybe 75 HP now LOL It needs to be retired to be rebuilt.

Just got an email from Jeep guys with some NEWS today. Apparently, there is a strike which is affecting when my Jeep is going to get built.

Glad they cleared that up.

Honestly I'm just glad they emailed me something. I was starting to think they forgot about my order.
