Congratulations!! The more Sarge Jeeps I see, the more I love the color. Now go enjoy it before the snow comes!
Thanks @kbow! I find Sarge Green richer and more interesting in person than in the pictures. I like this color a lot! This is also my first 3.6 (after two 2.0s), which I’m enjoying so far.

For anyone waiting on a built Jeep: rest assured vehicles are still leaving the factory and moving to dealerships, so your delivery could be just days away. Mine was completed on 9/21 (my dealer told me it was actually built before the strike started, but shipped to body vendor after) and released from the factory earlier this week. A couple of days on a truck and - voila. So don’t despair!! Strike or no strike, the wait could soon be over.

Probably my final post in this thread.

Just wanted to thank you all for the company, encouragement and tips during the wait. Wishing you all a prompt and happy delivery.

Here are a few pics of my JL on the last leg of its journey - home! Have a great Sunday, everyone.

Curious why you went to a 3.6 after owning two 2.0s. Why did you make the switch and what are your thoughts about these engines now that you have experienced both.

The reason is simply that the 2.0 could not be ordered with a Rubicon X. I had a slight preference for the 2.0 based on my own driving style and driving conditions, but from everything I’ve read both are good and it’s just a matter of taste —- so I figured why not try the 3.6. I also added the cold air intake as an option. Still early days (Day 2 to be precise!) but so far I’m really enjoying it. Similar responsiveness as the turbo but a more wholesome sound.

Oh wow. I had no idea the 3.6 was the only option for the Rubi x. Is that the norm or was that part of the 2.0 backlog (all 2.0 were assigned to the 4xE)?

Not sure what the reason is, but both the Rubicon X and the regular Rubicon could only be ordered with the 3.6 when I placed my order late August. It annoyed me at first, but then I figured a) if they choose to put the 3.6 on their higher end trims, maybe there is a good reason; b) why not try something different?

Very happy so far. I’m taking it easy for the first 200-300 miles but it definitely feels like it will be a fun ride!

I’m still in a holding pattern as well. Dealership is showing D1 for end of October. Not sure that is realistic. Fingers crossed!

At least it might get scheduled. My girl is still sitting at C--112 days I think?.

*On a good note (maybe?), hubs and I went to the camper show this past weekend. I really like the NuCamp Tab400, but it's too heavy for a Wrangler. There were a few others that were good for the Wrangler that I think we would be happy with. Every time we looked at something that was just a tiny bit too heavy I would mention that we "could" just keep my current ride and be fine pulling much more. These comments were met with a "what are you talking about, don't be lame" face from my better half. So I guess that's that. I'm waiting--semi-patiently for this to come in.

My salesman did text me out of the blue last week just to say...not moving. He did say that they had a few 392's with movement that the orders for were placed just before mine so he has hope that it might move next and then he mentioned the strike issue as well. I responded that I didn't really think the strike was doing much as far delays since it wasn't moving for the 90 days before the strike, lol.

Reached out to my dealer and I’m finally at D status after 27 Days at C. Trackers still shows C, but any movement is exciting.

New to the forum, and placed an order through my dealership about 2 weeks ago, right at the beginning of the strike. The dealer is telling me that the new order has a VIN and stock number, but I have yet to receive any emails from Jeep regarding progress. Do you think this is because of the strike, or did others have to wait a little while before the emails started?

Thanks!

I never got any e-mails from Jeep about the order until I opened a ticket on it. All info was from my dealer/salesman. You can log into the Jeep tracker with your order number and VIN, but it's not very accurate.

Yes, technically you are at D as soon as you get your VIN. Tracker will show C still.

Despite what appeared to be several factors working against receiving my new Jeep, I was shocked when @RobTrachtman reached out last week to say the vehicle had been delivered on Thursday. All trackers indicated that the vehicle was waiting for shipping (trackers continue to indicate the vehicle is waiting for shipping). Without hesitation I would do business with Rob again! Extremely knowledgeable and champion of customer service. My honest experience with Tuttle-Click is hands-down awesome. No pressure at all; the deal was exactly as originally stated months ago--in and out. I was also able to apply the $1,000 dealer discount found on Jeep.com on top of the below invoice + affiliate code. Nicely done @RobTrachtman !

when I requested a status update from my dealer last week he showed me an image saying that it was still in C. Even though I had already received a VIN the day after ordering.
